Luna Park Sydney Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Luna Park - Sydney, Australia
One of Sydney’s theme park - Luna Park, is also one of the most popular, easily accessible theme park of them all!
As Luna Park Sydney is a harbour-side amusement park, you can reached by taking the ferry or metro from the opposite side of the river. Though I would highly recommend taking ferry and you will be able to see the stunning Sydney Harbour view (Opera House & Harbour Bridge) while en route to Luna Park.
Attraction wise, it’s pretty old and retro with tons of traditional rides and buildings. Ticket prices are abit expensive and are non-refundable if purchase online.

Luna Park
#sydneytrip I went to Luna Park while on holiday. It was a warm, sunny weekday. Since it was school holidays and the weather was amazing, it was busy and the lineups for rides were long. We spent almost half of our time in lineups for rides unfortunately. There is also extremely little shade in the park and when waiting in line, which was very uncomfortable and dehydrating in the sun!
The all-day rides pass is good value if you go on many rides, which we struggled to do given the long lines. You can’t purchase single-ride tickets which sucks, because I can imagine a lot of people would want to just go on the Ferris Wheel - which was the case in my visit.
Coney Island was great. Not necessarily the rides, but seeing what it was like a really long time ago.
The food, I thought, was reasonably priced. I didn’t have any, but the people I went with thought it was good!

Enjoyed a lovely day out at Lunar Park Sydney. We enjoyed eight hours of fun, going on rides, playing games and eating junk food. They had a great range of rides for the kids and enough to keep them happy. As we went early we were able to do most rides and enjoyed about 90% of the park.
Luna Park is a blast! The historic charm, mix of classic and modern rides, and superb customer service make it a must-visit. From the Hair Raiser (quite literally) to the friendly staff, it's a perfect blend of nostalgia and excitement. Highly recommend for a day of family fun! 🌈🎠
Luna park
#melbournetrip This place we would be perfect for the younger kids as all the rides are located very near each other, however for the adults, I would recommend only buying the entry fee which will include one free ride.
We chose the scenic railway to experience riding on the heritage listed roller coaster 🎢 and to enjoy the views of Port Phillip Bay! Highly recommended if you are visiting St Kilda!
There are cafes located inside to enjoy some shade on a hot day.

A Whimsical Journey Through Luna Park, Sydney
Luna Park in Sydney, with its iconic smiling face entrance, might be the only place where you are actually encouraged to grin like a Cheshire cat before being twisted, turned, and spun on a plethora of thrilling rides. It's as if the park is saying, "Come on in, and let's see if we can turn that smile upside down!"

Sydney CityWalk, a tour of classic and niche architecture!
1. Sydney Opera House
▪ Located at Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House with its distinctive sail design, along with the nearby Sydney Harbour Bridge, is one of Sydney's most classic scenes! During the few days in Sydney, the Opera House is the place with the most check-ins and the most beautiful scenery!
▪ Whether it's the original colors during the day, the golden hues at dusk, or the colorful patterns during the Vivid Light Festival, this is Sydney's most eye-catching great architecture!
▪ If it's your first time in Sydney, you definitely won't miss this place!
2. City Fringe
▪ Take a boat from Circular Quay to Milsons Point, along the way you can see the Sydney Opera House, the stunning city fringe, and the Sydney Bridge under the sun
3. University of Sydney
▪ Heading to the Carriageworks Creative Space, you will pass the University of Sydney again, which you visited the day before, but it's another gate, and the environment here has more of a deep autumn feel
4. Chippendale
Sydney's 'Culture Scouts' niche walking group is an unadulterated 'university district', with even the buildings feeling very tech-savvy
5. New Town
▪ After coming out of the Carriageworks, on the way to King street, you pass through a residential area with a 19th-century immigrant atmosphere, and rows of houses in various saturated colors are very pleasing to the eye
6. Sydney Town Hall
▪ On the last night in Sydney, the night view of Sydney Town Hall is particularly enchanting. The piano solo by a street performer outside the town hall is captivating. My heart is lit, the night is young, Sydney, See you someday!
- Recommended tour duration: 3 days
- Transportation recommendations: Subway + Boat + Walking
Sydney Harbour Bridge train station
I've come to the Sydney Bridge train station again, getting off here is something I like to do, because getting off at this station can walk across the bridge to the other side, you can enjoy the scenery and exercise.
But today, because I have an appointment elsewhere in the next two hours, I decided to play only on this side of the bridge.
There is no very poisonous sun, only the breeze and the calm sea, the Sydney Opera House is romantic on the sea, everything is as beautiful as a picture, just sit quietly like this, enjoy the scenery - it can cultivate sentiment.

Night stroll at Sydney Harbour 🚶🌕
As the city winds down and you are feeling full from your dinner, what can you do in Sydney? Take a night stroll to the Sydney Opera House!
If you visit it at night, you can see the ever changing light projection on the iconic sails of the opera house glow softly against the dark sky. It really casts a magical aura over the surroundings.
As I strolled along the waterfront, the gentle sound of waves lapping against the shore provided a soothing backdrop to the twinkling lights of the city skyline. Every corner I turned revealed a new perspective of this architectural marvel.
Looking across the harbour, you will also be able to catch the light projections on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge as well. Pausing to take in the view, I felt a sense of relaxation wash over me, as if the world had slowed down just for that moment. It was a fantastic chance to appreciate the grandeur of one of the Sydney’s most famous landmarks in the cool autumn night.

To me, Hong Kong is a melting pot of culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to visit the island of Cheung Chau, take a hike on the Dragon’s Back, enjoy a sip of Vita Lemon Tea and...so much more!
Sydney Opera House
My visit to the iconic Sydney Opera House was a dream come true. As I walked up to the beautiful white sails rising from the water, I was struck by the building's grace and grandeur. Wow, I cannot believe I was really here. Inside, I was awe-inspired by the concert hall's vaulted ceilings and mesmerizing acoustics. These are truly one of a kind. Though the tour was brief, marveling at the Opera House's history and design left me with a deeper appreciation for this architectural wonder. I left feeling inspired and grateful to have seen this magnificent structure in person. I will surely come back to this place in the near future.

Visiting Tips for Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is one of the most iconic landmarks in Australia and a must-see destination for visitors to Sydney. This architectural masterpiece, designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, is located on the picturesque Sydney Harbour and is home to some of the world's most spectacular performances.
Here's a guide to help you make the most of your visit to the Sydney Opera House:
1. Take a Guided Tour: The best way to experience the Opera House is by taking a guided tour. These tours run daily and provide an in-depth look at the history, architecture, and behind-the-scenes operations of the Opera House. You'll also get to see some of the stunning performance spaces, including the Concert Hall and the Joan Sutherland Theatre.
2. Catch a Show: The Opera House hosts a wide range of performances, from opera and ballet to contemporary music and comedy. Check the schedule and book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. The Opera House is also home to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, so be sure to catch one of their concerts if you can.
3. Dine with a View: The Opera House offers a variety of dining options, from casual cafes to fine dining restaurants. For a truly special experience, book a table at the Opera Kitchen, which offers stunning views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
4. Walk the Surrounding Area: The Opera House is located in the heart of Sydney's Circular Quay, which is a bustling area filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes. Take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the stunning views of the Harbour and the city skyline.
5. Take a Ferry Ride: The best way to see the Opera House from a different perspective is by taking a ferry ride from Circular Quay. The ferries offer a unique view of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and you can even take a ferry to other destinations like Manly or Taronga Zoo.

Sydney, ready to explore its iconic landmarks and vibrant culture. They began their journey at the Sydney Opera House, marveling at its striking architecture and waterfront location. Strolling along the bustling streets of Circular Quay, they soaked in the energy of the city and admired the views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Their tour continued to Bondi Beach, where they felt the sun on their faces and the sand between their toes, experiencing the laid-back beach culture of Sydney. Sydney's Best Free Attraction 🌉
Walking across the Sydney Harbour Bridge is definitely tops my list of free things-to-do in Sydney. I started my ascent up the bridge at Cumberland Street (near the cross section of Argyle Street and Cumberland Street), where I took the lift up to a ramp that led to the pedestrian walkway of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.
As I walked up, the city skyline unfolded before me like a breathtaking painting. The glistening waters of the harbor sparkled below, while ferries glided gracefully beneath us. The iconic Opera House stood proudly in the distance, its white sails contrasting against the deep blue sky. The Sydney skyline stretched out in all directions, a vibrant mosaic of buildings and green spaces. It was a moment of pure awe and wonder.

I really want to visit Hong Kong because it is such a bustling metropolis, a city that doesn't sleeps! I'm eager to see the iconic skyline from Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, both in the day and at night, and marvel at the city's modern architecture. Exploring Ocean Park and riding the thrilling roller coasters would be a blast too!
Beautiful Stunning Sydney Harbour Bridge

📍Sydney Harbour Bridge
Visited Sydney and of course Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most iconic architecture to marvel while in Sydney! The structure, the arches is so amazing, pretty and stunning! You can also arrange and pay to climb the bridge, we did not do that due to time limits but this activity sounds really fun for adventurous travellers! We walked around the area like Circular Quay, the harbour area, and had a different view points of the ever beautiful bridge. All of the angles are great and picture perfect! We spent the day strolling around and took a lot of pictures! Views are just simply breathtaking and mesmerising I don’t think I will ever get over it!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for their food!
Sunny Sydney
Sydney is a favourite chill destination if you love exploring by foot.
My friend and I started walking from Haymarket to the Darling Harbour, to Barangaroo.
From there, we saw the most spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, sat on the lawn to enjoy the summer breeze.
We continued our walk to The Rocks, ending in Circular Quay viewing the best of harbours.
