Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca 🇮🇹
#churches
I recently visited the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca in Bologna, and it was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I’ve been to. 🌿 Perched on a hill just outside the city, the sanctuary is famous for its long, arched portico that stretches for almost 4 kilometers from the city up to the church. The walk up through the portico is free and definitely worth it if you’re up for a bit of exercise—it’s an experience in itself with 666 arches guiding you along.
Once I reached the top, the sanctuary was breathtaking, both for its serene atmosphere and the stunning view of Bologna below. There’s no entrance fee to the sanctuary, but if you want to climb the dome for an even better panoramic view, it costs about 5 euros. Inside, the church is beautiful, filled with art and a real sense of peace.
Nearby, you can explore the lush hills or take a quick trip back into Bologna to visit Piazza Maggiore and other historic sights. Definitely worth the hike if you’re in Bologna!

Visiting Museum Lamborghini
Getting There - you would need a car or book an excursion where they will pick up at your hotel
and take you there :)
Attractions - Bologna, Sant’Agata dei Goti
Hotels - B&B Bologna
Food & Restaurants - there is such as lovely trattoria which I don’t recall the name right now few miles away. Very convenient and best food I have ever had in Bologna! can’t wait to go back!
Shopping - Lamborghini Store by the museum
Ps: they also have the Lamborghini factory available, which you have to buy ticket a part.

Visiting the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca
#europetrip
The journey to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca is as rewarding as the destination itself. Whether you hike under the iconic Portico di San Luca or take a bus up the hill, the views of Bologna and the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. The sanctuary itself is serene, with beautiful artwork and a sense of peace that invites quiet reflection. From the terrace, you can enjoy panoramic vistas that make the effort worth it. For those looking to combine a spiritual visit with a bit of exercise and stunning scenery, this is a perfect day trip from the city.

Bologna, the delightful capital of Emilia-Romagna, is an interesting spot, with its blend of fascinating culture, history and delicious traditional food.
We felt the warmth from our B&B host and totally immersed in this beautifully colonnaded medieval grid. It is a bolshie city that hosts one of the world's oldest university and is famous for its graffiti-embellished piazzas.
Bologna also has various attractions, including Asinelli tower, Neptune fountain, and the Basilica of San Petronio.

As one of
As one of the most preserved ancient Italian medieval cities, Bologna is like an open-air museum and library. Founded in 1088, the oldest university in the West of Bologna is located here. One quarter of the city's population is university students, so this ancient city is full of youth and vitality.
From the perspective of architecture, Bologna's most notable features are the promenade and tower. The 40-mile long corridor shelters people from the rain, and the outer wall is like Morandi's oil painting. The combination of earth red and yellow ash is very eye-catching. The commanding heights in the city are twin towers the two families used the way of building towers, and one of them collapsed when only half of it was built, while the other stood for a thousand years without falling.
In addition to culture and art, Bologna is the gastronomic capital of Italy. The famous Italian spaghetti bolognese Spaghetti Bolognese is literally Bologna Bolognese Noodles, so you must try the authentic meat sauce noodles here.

Bologna, I
Bologna, Italy, although not a well-known tourist city, is one of the oldest historical and cultural cities in Italy. The architecture of the old town preserves the medieval style. The buildings on both sides of the street are built with beautiful arcades and a series of buildings. Together. Walking through it, watching the modern people walking under the ancient buildings, the city life is full of life, as if walking freely in history.
