I was recommended by my friend. She was telling me how beautiful Malta was and here we go! I spent 4days and 3 nights in Malta. Aside from all the tourists spots, I would recommend you to visit Popeyes village. This is not somewhere that will be recommended to tourist, kinda like hidden spot. The village was built in 1980 for film and it became the major tourist attractions in Malta. Trust me! It is definitely worth to visit. The sea view and houses around were just amazing, especially during the evening. From Valletta, you can take 222 bus to Mellieha Bay, change to 237 bus to reach the village. I would definitely recommend you to try Caviar& Bull. The caviar tasted so good! Aside from Caviar, we ordered Beef Rib eyes and spaghetti as our main. The beef rib eyes was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the spaghetti sauce was a lil to sour for us. We also ordered baked pumpkin. It doesn’t taste like normal pumpkin that we usually had. But we find it very interesting. As a coconut lover, I ordered one of the cocktail from the drinks menu. It was kinda like pineapple 🍍 + coconut 🥥. It tastes so so good and it was served with a layer of shredded coconut on top. P/s: The bread that they served before meal was so delicious and we even ordered extra portion! Haha 😆 So check it out! It is not a big place but it is the "heart of the Mediterranean". Hundreds of movies 🎬 have been filmed here. Whether it is the charming Baroque architectural style, the unique cliff valley, or the beautiful blue cave, they are all very attractive. Attractions 🌊Blue Hole is a group of naturally formed underwater caves. The water under the cave is blue, crystal clear and beautiful, a great place for diving enthusiasts! It is also one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones. 🌊The old capital of Mdina is a well-preserved medieval fortress. The city walls and fortresses stand on steep cliffs. The roads inside the ancient city are narrow and tortuous. The goose yellow city walls look ancient and vicissitudes under the light and shadow. 🌊Dingli Cliff is the highest point in the Maltese Islands. The top of the cliff is open and you can overlook the blue Mediterranean Sea. The scenery is rough and desolate. You can enjoy the majestic ancient buildings, winding goat islands, abandoned trenches, blue bays, and the sunset is even more intoxicating. 🌊Blue Window is located at the end of the cliff. Through this natural arch, visitors can see the spectacular view of the sea and sky. The nearby waters are deep and dark green, making them a paradise for swimming and diving enthusiasts. The popular American TV series "Game of Thrones" was also filmed here. 🌊Victoria Castle is a representative building of Gozo Island and is known as the "Soul of Gozo Island". The castle is not only an important historical site, but also the highest point in Victoria City. Standing on the castle, you can overlook the entire Victoria City and the surrounding rural scenery. 🌊 Comino Island Blue Lagoon It refused to enter the 20th century and is like a small paradise. It is famous for its crystal clear waters and gorgeous blue-green color. In Malta there aren’t many trees to begin with and very few that blossom so when out hiking and you have the pleasure of finding a beautiful blossoming tree you have to make the most of the lovely occasion. St Paul’s Island is a small island off the north east coast of Malta. According to legend it’s close to the location where Saint Paul was shipwrecked on his way to Rome in around 60 A.D. On the island there is a statue of Saint Paul gazing out to sea. The island has a rugged beauty and is often deserted as it can only really be reached easily by boat. #malta #mediterranean #island

Walking around the quiet streets of Mellieha, a town in the north of the Mediterranean island of Malta, is a real pleasure. It has a real authentic Maltese feel about it, unlike many of the other larger cities in Malta which are now full of large modern buildings. A great way to enjoy a lovely sunny afternoon is to have a lovely lazy weekend lunch. Which is exactly what we did recently in Mellieha at the Villager restaurant. The menu is fairly limited but seasonal and they have an interesting selection of dishes. If you’re visiting Mellieha in Malta this year and looking for a nice place for lunch or dinner, I would definitely recommend the Villager restaurant. Selmun Palace or Selmun Tower as it is also known was built by the Knights of St John in the 1700s. Although it looks very much like a fort (it was built in the style of the previous century) it was in fact originally built as a hunting lodge. More recently a hotel was built behind the palace but has been closed since 2011 however it is quite fun to explore. #malta #mediterranean #fort

Mellieha is a village in the north of Malta and is most famous for the large sandy beach located nearby called Ghadira Bay. However, if you’re travelling to the north of Malta, don’t miss spending a little bit of time in Mellieha itself for a slice of authentic Malta away from the thongs of tourist at more popular areas. Mellieha Paris Church is one of my favourite churches in Malta and the sanctuary of our lady of Mellieha and the shrine there also tranquil and calm.
