Follow Jay Chou's Citywalk and check out Melbourne's street art
Returning to Melbourne this time, I followed Jay Chou's footsteps and retraced the most classic Citywalk route.
When I wrote my travel notes and travel guide book "Traveling in Australia" online, I walked this Citywalk route countless times and took thousands of photos. Returning to this city again, even the air is filled with memories, and everything is so familiar, as if I had never left.
Now, let's follow me to get Jay's same check-in photos!
🩴Citywalk route
In fact, the places where Jay Chou took photos in the City are not far apart, and you can visit them all in two or three hours.
1️⃣Flinders Street Station
This is the most central place in Melbourne. Jay Chou took a photo on a bench at the entrance of St. Paul's Cathedral diagonally opposite the train station, making this bench a must-see place for fans.
2️⃣St. Paul's Cathedral
You can visit the church along the way, which combines English and neo-Gothic styles. Outside stands a statue of Matthew Flinders, the pioneer of Australia. The bench where Jay Chou took the Flinders Street photo is in front of the church.
3️⃣Hosier Lane
Speaking of the artistic atmosphere of Melbourne's streets and alleys, the graffiti here is updated every week. I specially found the photos I took here before, and they are completely different. There is now a free street art exhibition next to Graffiti Street, which is well worth a visit.
4️⃣The Royal Arcade
A symbol of the Victorian arcade, it has a variety of specialty shops and cafes, which are quite small and bourgeois, and are quite good for shopping.
5️⃣Collins Street
One of the oldest streets in Australia, it is also Melbourne's financial street, with many big-name stores here.
6️⃣Queen Victoria Market
Locals call it "Victoria Market", it is the largest semi-open market in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, fruits, vegetables, etc., and there are many delicious foods.
Market Lane cafe, American Doughnut kitchen's hot donuts, and Mussel are all must-try.
