The project features two houses named "Baan Hing Hoi" (Firefly House) and "Baan Mod Som" (Orange Ant House). This time, I chose to stay at Baan Mod Som, a two-story house situated right next to the stream. Just opening the door on the lower floor, you can clearly hear the sound of flowing water—a soothing sound that feels like nature is embracing you constantly. The house is almost entirely made of wood, with a pleasant woody aroma and a warm atmosphere as soon as you step inside. The lower floor offers a relaxing area by the stream where you can stretch your legs and listen to the sounds of water and the forest all day. The cool breeze from the stream flows in constantly, making it comfortable even without air conditioning. The upper floor is a bedroom with windows that open to a full view of the trees, making it feel like waking up in the heart of the forest. The morning air is incredibly refreshing, with a natural coolness, no car noises, no human chatter—just the peaceful silence that makes you want to return again and again. At night, the atmosphere is incredibly romantic. The warm lights from the house reflecting on the water give off the ultimate cozy forest retreat vibe. Sitting and listening to the stream and the rustling leaves is indescribably relaxing. Looking up at the sky, you'll see stars scattered across the heavens—a simple yet healing experience that no café or luxury resort can offer. The surrounding area of Ban Mae Lai is also very peaceful and natural, with light walking trails through the forest, perfect for those looking to recharge their lives. The locals are friendly, and the weather is pleasant all day, especially in the mornings and evenings when the cool breeze makes you reluctant to return to the city. Overall, Chonnabot, Ban Mae Lai, is a place that brings back the simplicity we've long forgotten. Surrounded by forests, streams, and thoughtfully designed wooden houses, it's an ideal retreat for those looking to rest their minds, slow down, or temporarily escape the hustle and bustle. #TravelPlan ✨Enjoy the slow life in Mae Kampong! Start!! Travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai 🚍Departure by Sombat Tour bus, 7:00 PM departure Day 1 🍲Arrived in Chiang Mai early in the morning. Stopped for breakfast at a restaurant under a house (a bit crowded). 🚐Take a van to Mae Kampong at Waroros Market (book your ticket in advance). The journey to Mae Kampong took about 45 minutes (180 baht). 🏠Arrived at Mae Kampong, check-in at "Uncle Boon Baan Him Huai" accommodation, just 400 meters from the village walking street (we stayed there for two nights). 🚶Walked around the village and stopped at Proun Cafe, located near the village pick-up and drop-off point. 🍝For dinner, head to Khao Soi Kloy Jai. Day 2 🥗Breakfast provided by the accommodation. 🕊️Relax and unwind at the accommodation, located next to a stream. The room has a balcony for relaxing and recharging your batteries. 🍲 In the morning, stroll around and find something to eat in the village. The walking street is bustling with delicious food vendors all day long, but my favorite is the grilled honeycomb. You have to try it! ☕️ In the afternoon, stop by Ingdoi Coffee, a cafe with a view of the entire Mae Kampong village. The cool breeze blows all day long. We could sit here all day and not get bored.☺️ Note: The road from the market to the cafe is quite steep. If you don't want to walk, there's a shuttle service available (20 baht per trip). 🍛 For dinner, eat at one of the vendors at the walking street market. The annual Yi Peng or Loi Krathong festival in Chiang Mai 2025 kicked off in grand style this evening, November 5th, 2025, in Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province. It marked the first day of the "Chiangmai CAD Sky Lantern Festival 2025," which took place from November 5th to 6th, 2025. The most important moment of the night, when the appointed time arrived, tourists released tens of thousands of Yi Peng lanterns into the night sky simultaneously, creating a dazzling and spectacular light show. Countless lanterns slowly floated upwards, gathering together in clusters, resembling slowly moving stars above Chiang Mai. #DontMissIt

🌿Chiang Mai 2025 Road Trip✨ 4 days, 3 nights of heartwarming fun We drove out at 4:00 AM and arrived in Chiang Mai at noon. Upon arrival, we headed straight to Huen Muan Jai for a recharge at Huen Muan Jai, followed by a gentle sunbath at Sun Rays Café before checking in at SUMITTAYA CHIANGMAI HOTEL, a hotel in the heart of the city, easily accessible. A cool evening stroll along Mae Kha Canal, where the cool breeze gently blows, is a real treat. 🍃 🌅 Day 2: Start the day at CHIANG MAI BREAKFAST RESTAURANT with a hearty breakfast 🍳 Enjoy a hearty meal at Suki Chang Phueak, the branch behind CMU, and finish with a delicious bubble tea 🧋 before heading to Kad Lang Mo for a quick walk to digest. There's plenty of food and people, lol. ⛰️ Day 3: Head to Mae Kampong for a one-day trip to take in the mountain air, enjoy a hot bowl of khao soi at Khao Soi Kloy Jai, and take a leisurely stroll up the mountain. Then, sip on an iced cocoa at THE THARNTONG GREEN COFFEE 🍫. After a short break down the mountain, we stopped for some spicy food at Laab Bunker, then ended the day with a stroll along Tha Phae Gate Walking Street. The atmosphere was lively and heartwarming. 🛍️ 🌤️ On Day 4, the morning of our return, we stopped by a newly opened restaurant, Chao Chao Chiang Mai. We got this room for less than two hundred baht, and it's even two stories high. The upper floor is a lovely attic. At the back of the room, you'll find a balcony with a view of the waterfall and mountains. It's incredibly healing. Choose from: • Pork set • Beef set • Seafood set for seafood lovers. 🦐 It comes with a full set of vegetables and a delicious dipping sauce.
