Madurai is located in Tamil Nadu in South India. It is most well known for the Meenakshi Amman Temple which is a historic Hindu temple situated on the banks of the Vaigai River. There are 14 bright, detailed towers that are all 45-50m tall!
The Thirupparankundram Rock-cut Cave or Umaiyandar temple is hundreds of years old and is all cut out in the rock. You can take the stairs and climb to the top for a wonderful view of the surroundings.

Very delicious and healthy vegetarian food available at this place. They serve unlimited items in the thali menu starting from 210 rs onwards. It's located close to the west tower of Meenakshi Amman temple. The owners are from Rajasthan serving delicious food for decades.

Madurai palace must visit
This palace is a 17th century palace built by king Tirumala Nayaka. He was the king of Madurai's Nayaka dynasty who ruled Madurai from 1623 to 1659. It's huge corridor depicts the fusion of Italian and Rajput styles. It is two kilometres away from the famous Meenakshi Ayyan temple.
