Habu Temple in Luxor 🇪🇬

The Habu Temple, located on the western bank of the Nile in Luxor, is one of the largest and best preserved funerary temples of ancient Egypt. It was built by Pharaoh Ramesses III of the 20th Dynasty as a burial place for himself and as a sanctuary dedicated to the god Amun. The temple was built in sandstone and has an 18 meter high façade. Inside, the temple is composed of courtyards, hypostyle halls and sanctuaries. The walls are decorated with reliefs representing scenes of battle and daily life. The temple has been restored several times over the centuries, the last time in 20191. It's a must-visit when you are in Luxor, a nice temple less crowded compared to the other attractions in the area. #christmastrip

Luxor was more than a destination; it was a voyage through time, a chance to immerse myself in the marvels of Egypt's ancient greatness.

We arrived in Luxor after a few days of excursions on the historical sites in Egypt already, but we’re still amazed by the magnificent temples and spectacular valleys, and of course the profound history of the city that dates back to thousands of years ago. We stayed at the Steigenberger Nile Palace during our stay, and were told it was one of the two best hotels in Luxor (the other being Sofitel winter palace), and the staff, the amenities and the view have made our stay even better than it already is, and I’d highly recommend this hotel for its price and it’s service to anyone who’s coming to this majestic city. The highlights on my trip are definitely the hot air balloon, which we went with Sinbad tours (the best in town) and valley of the kings for its out of this world landscape; this visit is once in a lifetime and absolutely unforgettable. #luxor #Steigenberger #valleyofthekings #Karnak #bluesky
