Pahiyas Festival in Lucban
Lucban in the province of Quezon, in the northern part of the Philippines is known for ita Pahiyas Festival, one of, if not the most colorful festival in the Philippines. The place showcased also their famouse Lucban Lonngganisa (sausage). Their iconic San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Parish Church have been erected some 420 years ago. The church’s exterior is proof to it’s age (very old indeed) but the interiors have already been renovated and looks new. But it has been said that the original church which was built in 1595 was ruined in 1629 then replaced thereafter in 1630-1640. It met the same fate in 1733. The Church that we see today was completed in 1738 followed by its Convent in 1743.
Batis Aramin - a Nature’s Haven
Located at the summer capital of Quezon Province, Lucban, Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel is a spectacle. If you want to get away from the hustles and bustles of the city, this is a perfect getaway as the vacation spot will reconnect you with nature.
The place is truly relaxing as it is surrounded with varieties of local trees. The Batis (creek) itself is stunning as it shines bright to the eyes - the resort qas able to maintain its original beauty and even improved it with modern constructions around like the Japanese inspired arches.
The Hobbiton inspired scenery is a surprise as well. The staggering colorful mini houses are nostalgic as you might feel that you are in The Hobbit set. Alongside is a greenhouse with a showcase of flowers, and a farm of sunflowers and other local flowers.
The rooms are new, spacious, and very comfortable. Amenities are great - hot shower is available. There is a selection as well of pools to enjoy swimming.
Batis Aramin is also just few walks away from one of the famous tourist spots in Lucban, which is the Kamay ni Jesus shrine (Hands of Jesus). It is just near the town as well where you can enjoy the mouth-watering delicacies of Buddy’a restaurant.
As a sidetrip, i suggest that you try the Palaisdaan and Air Summit Gourmet restaurants which are in the adjacent town, Tayabas.
I really enjoyed my stay in Batis Aramin and will surely go back with friends and family.
Kamay Ni Hesus — Lucban, Quezon

The vicinity of Kamay ni Hesus is huge and generously filled up with relaxing greens. Nature lovers will rejoice with the captivating view. The core of it all is, of course, the church, so if you feel tired, you can settle inside and offer some moment of peace and reflection.
#the300stepsclimb
Aside from being known for its healing, Kamay ni Hesus is also famous for it's 300-step climb to the huge statue of Jesus (some say it's only about 200 but we counted and estimated the steps to be at 300). It's important to note that some of the steps are steep, so you really need a lot of energy to reach the top.

WALK AND PRAY
Kamay ni Jesus is one of the most crowded place during Good friday. But recently when we arrived around 6pm the place has only few people since it's getting dark. They already close the gate getting to the biggest statue for security reason, one of them is there's no enough light to walk up to the hill . It was facilitated by Philippine National Police who asked to show the vaccination card before entering. But over all experience just to be in the place is already a blessing to pray in a big white rosary and grateful. #holyweek #goodfriday #travel #QuezonProvince #philippines #church
