#tripaway Plunge Missile base The renovated manor is obviously beautiful and they are renovating other buildings on the property so in time it could get a 5 star but at the moment the art exhibition inside doesn’t make up for it. I wish there could’ve been a historical museum inside showing the life of previous owners. Nice enough park. #tripaway

#tripaway Panevėžio Alpakų ūkis Alpaca farm. With two brother-llamas. It isa private farm, so you need to give a call before visit so hosts will set up the time for you. Entrance fee - 3 euro for adult and 2 for children. 1 euro for feed. Which is strongly recommend by me! #tripaway

#tripaway BIRSTONAS It’s not a bad place but a little pricey for me . Indeed Good, but a little too expensive. Great atmosphere and good location. Food also good. We ate pizza and for me it was the best pizza in Birštonas, but the prices are a little too high for this city. #tripaway

#JulyDestinations2025 From Riga Central Station, Latvia, we took the Flixbus to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, a 4.45-hour drive. We stayed at Bali House, a guesthouse on T. Vrublevskio g. 4. The location was excellent, with the cathedral and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania right outside. The guesthouse was clean and tidy, and it was on the street but not too noisy. Our itinerary for Lithuania took two days: Day 1 Lithuanian National Theatre (where you can take photos of the three golden men) Catherine Square Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (we recommend buying full tickets; all four halls are very interesting, and the third and fourth halls usually feature European art exhibitions) Gediminas Tower (you can hike or take the cable car 🚡) Three Crosses Bernardine Garden St. Anne's Church Church Republic on the other side of the strait (you can go early to browse the shops. If you're looking for a stamp, see Figure 3️⃣ for a stamp upon entering. You can also mail a postcard.) Day 2 Presidential Palace Pedestrian Street: Stiklių g. Vilnius City Hall Gate of Dawn 🎫Lithuanian Art Museum Old Town Store 🎫MO Museum (Highly recommended. They've recently had a game exhibition on the second floor, and an art exhibition on the third floor.) 🍽️Must-mentary meal: Katpėdėlė Restaurant serves local Lithuanian cuisine. Try the pink broth (cold salty soup), potato dumplings (potatoes wrapped with meat filling and fried in oil), and fried breadsticks with mushroom sauce. This restaurant was taken to by a local, so it's a good reference for exploring Lithuanian cuisine. Figure 2️⃣NAMO Asian Fusion: Perfect for a quick meal. Try the Indian food; it's quite good! KFC? Honestly, there's no KFC in Finland, and I was craving fried chicken, so all my meals were fried chicken, hahaha! (If you're stuck for what to eat, try Georgian food; it's always a good idea!)

Figure 3-4 Cross Hill In the Anti-Russian War in November 1831, in order to commemorate the warriors who died in the war, someone planted the first cross here. After Stalin's death in 1953, Lithuanians began to accumulate many crosses on this hill in memory of their loved ones who died under Stalin's rule, especially those who were exiled to Siberia for labor camps. Figure 5 Craquet Castle The castle is located on an island in the middle of Lake Galva. It is the only water castle in Eastern Europe and is made entirely of orange-red bricks and stones. This stone castle was built in the 14th century by Duke Kęstutis. Figure 6 Baltic Sea: Klaipėda (Lithuanian: Klaipėda; Polish: Kłajpeda) is the only Lithuanian seaport on the Baltic Sea.
