Keukenhof The Garden Of Holland :
No visit to the Netherlands can be complete without visiting the magnificent gardens at Keukenhof Lisse. Me and My wife always visit the park once a year and I never enjoy a better day each year as there are so many things to see and experience.
This year is the 58th time the parks are open to the public and they are spectacular. The Dutch people really excel in art of producing the worlds most beautiful flowers. The other draw is the fact that the smell of the flowers is astonishing.
Opening this year on the 20th March I found my self and my wife engrossed in the splendor of colour and imagination of the various flower mosaics and exhibition flowers.
In one of the large exhibition rooms you can watch the flower masters I have no other words for them putting together arrangements and displays. They are extremely talented also as you browse you notice that each of the flower arrangements and displays are marked...

A flower Heaven
#myhiddengems
Imagine flowers and only flowers everywhere. Keukenhoff is a feast for your sense of sight and smell. Then again it goes beyond that and puts your mind at ease. Now, even before I get into my own experience. I just want to add that yes you must come here but if possible time it with something like the tulip festival or even the month of April when a lot fo flowers are in bloom. I mean I certainly have plans to come back here during one of those times.
The garden is massive. I mean bigger than you think when you plan and give it a schedule. So allow it more time, this is a really peaceful activity. Especially if the past few days you have been overcharged or fell for some tourist trap. This is going to help clean that from your system.
A few helpful tips. Eat a hearty breakfast or carry something on you. While the coffee was nice, the food options were terrible and no point discussing the prices in popular tourist spots. If you're solo like I was and book the tickets and bus online. While it gives you a schedule and you'd assume you'd be allowed to board only then. That wasn't the case and it is just the ticket that matters. It did get crowded. Pick a weekday or if you by the chance know what could make for a less crowded day. Don't let the bus, crowds and ques spoil it for you.
Keukenhoff is still very worth your time.

The Keukenhof Tulip Festival near Amsterdam
Keukenhof is truly beautiful. Although there are occasional reviews saying it's not worth the price and that the tulip fields outside are better, the garden is too beautiful and lovely to receive such evaluations. You can see various types of tulips and there are many places to take photos. I visited on April 5th, and most of the tulips were in full bloom. Interestingly, even the tulips that were about to bloom were incredibly beautiful.

Infinity of Flower Universe
Translated, Keukenhof means "kitchen yard". In the XV century, the lands belonged to the Jacobine of Bavaria. The Duchess ordered vegetable gardens to be laid out in the hunting grounds around the castle so that fresh herbs could be served to the table. In the middle of the 19th century, the owners of the estate commissioned famous landscape architects, father and son by the name of Zoher, who developed the Vondelpark project, to refine the territory in the traditions of English park design with lawns, fountains and walking paths.
After the Second World War, Dutch flower exports brought the main income to the treasury and private farms.
The park received its first guests in 1949 on the initiative of the mayor of Lisse, who invited exporters to show their products in one place under the open sky. In 2018, the main Dutch flower show was visited by 1.4 million people from 100 countries. In honor of the 70th anniversary, the program of events will be especially intense.
The seed fund is provided free of charge by farmers and companies engaged in the supply of goods abroad. The organizers managed to create a popular platform for demonstrating the achievements of the Dutch flower industry and an attractive tourist attraction.
In the Netherlands, hundreds of thousands of bulbous crops are grown on the drained lands of Lake Haarlem, but only two months a year you can admire the amazing works of landscape designers and whole carpets of living spring flowers around the town of Lisse.
The season in the park begins towards the end of March with the flowering of crocuses, which are replaced by daffodils and hyacinths, and finally, from mid-April, tulips appear in all their splendor before the audience.
Towards the end of April, the park is decorated with apple trees in bloom.
A tulip is a special flower. What passions boiled around him in the XVII century, fortunes were acquired and collapsed. The black flower is not at all an invention of Alexandre Dumas.
Keukenhof speaks all languages of the world in April. Lovers, newly married couples, all of them are here. The Royal Park is incredibly beautiful, all the necessary infrastructure has been created on the territory: benches for recreation, free WC, several cafes, places where you can purchase only water, fresh strawberries or ice cream.

One day trip to Keukenhof for solo travelers.
I had the opportunity to visit the most beautiful tulip garden in the Netherlands, located in Lisse, Netherlands.
It started with purchasing an admission ticket online.
If you don't have a personal car, you must take the bus. Start by taking the train to Leiden central station.
Then walk out of the train station and wait for bus number 50 to Vreewijk stop, then walk about 1km to the garden. The journey takes almost 1 hour.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Sassenheim station and wait for bus number 50 there, which also ends at Vreewijk stop.
The garden is very crowded with tourists. Don't forget to watch your belongings and bring sunglasses and a sun hat.
For the return trip, walk back to the same bus stop and take the bus to Leiden central station just like before.
