Limerick Day Trip | Chill Time in a Small Town!
| Chill Time in a Small Town! I decided to take a day trip to Limerick on a whim, and I was surprised by how comfortable this small town is! ๐ It's not crowded at all, making it a great place to relax. The University of Limerick is nearby, and it's absolutely beautiful! I'll definitely visit the campus next time. ๐ฟ
First Stop: King John's Castle๐ฐ
Although it's a bit commercialized, the panoramic view from the top is definitely worth it! On a clear day, you can see a panoramic view of Limerick. History buffs can take their time exploring the castle.
Tip: Remember to buy a round-trip student bus ticket for โฌ15. A one-way ticket costs โฌ10, so I lost โฌ5. I'm heartbroken... ๐ญ
Second Stop: Big Shopping Center๐๏ธ
It's right at the bus stop, and I'm mentioning it because there's a public restroom there! You can take a break from shopping and relax.
Lunch: The Lock Bar๐
I had lunch here. It's a bit pricey, with an apple cider costing โฌ6.3, but it was really delicious! The milkshake at The Lock Burger next door is also great, and I've heard the burgers are delicious too. I'll definitely try them next time! ๐

Limerick is perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Limerick is perfect for those who want to wander aimlessly and spend a day, especially river lovers ๐๏ธ. You won't see such a wide, flowing river in downtown Dublin. The buildings on both sides are relatively low, and you can see distant mountains at one end of the river, with a very open view. When the weather is nice, take a walk by the river, with pigeons circling overhead and waterfowl ๐ฆค diving for food, and you'll feel great.
๐ฐ There is a large castle by the river, very complete and full of stories. The souvenir shop is quite nice, selling various family crests, basically collecting all the big names in Ireland, which you can buy for local friends.
As the third largest city in Ireland, Limerick's urban atmosphere is not as rural as Cork, but rather a low-key, exquisite small town โฒ๏ธ, with a very harmonious layout, little disturbing graffiti, and no marijuana smell. The residents are also very friendly, and when we were resting in the church, an old man came over to tell us the history of the church.
