Tallest Sand Dune in Europe
DUNE DU PILAT located in La Teste-de-Buch in the Arcachon bay area, France.
Was there during the summertime. The first few steps climbing up the dune was fun. The feeling of walking on bare foot on the fine sand was good. Warm from the outside cool inside… 😙 There was a stair that bring you up to the top of the dune but I preferred to climb up. 😬Was fun at the beginning, you walk two steps up and slide down one step… and when you are half way there it was very tiring 😂😂😂 I don’t feel it was fun anymore 😅 Well, never gave up I force myself all the way to the top and every effort was paid. WOW It beautiful🥰 what an amazing view 😍 love it. The Tallest Sand Dune here I am. I think it’s about 102 meter high above the sea level.
Sitting at the top watching the sea, the forest with cool sea breeze was an enjoyment. Very relaxing and I stayed about an hour at the Top of the dune.
Lots of visitors during the summer and from wiki it said more than one million visitors per year 😱 but it’s pretty true because many come here for the beaches and taking an opportunity to visit this tallest dune in Europe. 🙂
Tips: Simple wear, bring water, towels. 😜
No doubt there are some restaurants some shops which sell drinks at the bottom of the dune but you not going to go back down to get them.

Our family trip to Zoo Arcachon Basin was fantastic! Located in the heart of the Arcachon Bay region, France, this zoo offers a delightful experience for all ages. Highlights included the playful lemurs and majestic wolves. The zoo is nestled in a serene forested area, perfect for a scenic walk.
