Kutaisi, Kutaisi seems to have nothing to say to you.
Thoughts🥤
The sun was shining brightly on the day we arrived. As the bus slowly drove into the city, I thought to myself that this city is great. In the afternoon, I climbed the Bagrat Cathedral and watched the sunset. Apart from being quiet and a bit lonely, everything was perfect. It rained heavily the next day, so I stayed in the B&B, relying on the remaining purchases from the previous day and the bean soup and bread sent by the landlord, without making a move. On the third day, it became overcast and cloudy. I felt a little cooler and there was humidity in the air. I went out for a walk and got on a minibus to the suburbs. After returning to the city, I wandered around the local market and found that I could buy 5 of them for 2 lari. Apples, when I first arrived in Tbilisi, I remember spending 2 lari to buy an apple. Later I discovered that buying regular fruits such as apples, bananas and oranges in the city cost roughly 1 lari each. On the fourth day we checked out, the weather was so good that in the back garden of Mtsvanekvavila Church we could clearly see the snow-capped mountains in the distance and the green-roofed Bagrat on the other side of the river. In the afternoon, I went to my favorite bakery and bought a bunch of snacks. I ordered some food at a restaurant along the way to enjoy the sun. Then I strolled to the train station early. The train from Kutaisi to Batumi was extremely slow and there weren’t many people there. , very suitable for people with procrastination to code...

✏Bagrat Cathedral
The most worth-seeing place in Kutaisi, whether you choose morning or afternoon, as long as the weather is good, you can have an unobstructed view of the entire town. From here, it is a seven-kilometer hike to Sataplia Nature Reserve, which takes more than two hours.
✏White Bridge
The bridge is a sculpture of a boy holding a hat with open arms. The steel structure bridge body and railings are painted white, so it is called the White Bridge. There are many famous quotes engraved on the bridge deck, but they are all in Georgian and the translations are fragmentary.
✏Fountain of Colchis
You don’t even have to look for it. As a landmark building, you can’t miss it. The shape of the fountain is very distinctive, and the animals decorating it are replicas of archaeological discoveries. When the lights change colors at night, it is even more attractive. The biggest puzzle is why it is displayed at a roundabout. The heavy traffic prevented me from getting close to it.
✏Mtsvanekvavila Temple
There are very few tourists. It is also a good place to overlook the city and take pictures of the Bagrat Cathedral.
Easter eggs ✌
🔹My favorite pastry shop, there is no store name on Google, it is located opposite the fast food restaurant Dino Express! There are many varieties, I can say that I tried 7 or 8 varieties in the few days I stayed there, and I often saw locals queuing up to purchase.
🔸A pretty good restaurant, the name is Fleur, the outdoor garden is cozy, and the service is very good. I ordered cappuccino and the flowers looked like they were going to explode. The cheese stewed eggs were not expensive.
