Hotel: Vannee Golden Sands Beachfront Resort Location: 120/1 Moo 6, Tambon Baan Tai, Amphur Koh Phangan, Suratthani,, Koh Phangan, Thailand We got to Koh Phangan (Haad Rin Pier) from Koh Samui (Big Buddha Pier) by ferry and it took us around 50 min. I did spend a lot of time to choose this hotel and I was not disappointed. During full moon this place can be crowded, but we arrived a few days after, so the place was super calm and chill. Great choice for breakfast, very attentive service, poolside looking room. Everything was great (especially swimming pools with sea water!). The hotel has the laundry service with reasonable prices. Vannee Golden Sands is located a bit further from the noisy streets of Phangan, but still very close (10 min walking). Buri Rasa Village Resort is a wonderful choice if you don’t want to move around much, just stay in and around the resort for a few days to enjoy the beach and hotel facilities. The hotel is not very big so you see familiar faces everyday. The rooms are simple but well designed. They have nice little touches such as flip flops and beach basket for you to use. They have a sofa which was good enough for my 3 year old son to sleep at night so we didn’t need an extra bed. We have a ground floor room just steps away from the pool so it was very convenient. The beach is also just a few steps from the pool. The best part is the service, from the reception to the beach staff they are all so friendly, relaxed but efficient. The breakfast was not the biggest spread but everything was good. Within walking distance you have other local restaurants, supermarkets, shops and massage, everything you need very close by! Kho Phangan is truly a gem! The island welcomes you with amazing beaches, chill atmosphere and wild jungles. Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as Wat Pho (or Wat Po) is not far from the Grand Palace and houses a gold Reclining Buddha, 15 meters high and 46 meters long, built in 1832. They say is is good luck to leave coin offerings in the temple, and you can purchase a bowl of coins inside and drop them in the offering bowls. It is also near the ferry terminal, about 5-10min drive. Ambiance/Facilities - This peaceful resort truly lives up to it’s name, everything is beautiful and modern and feels luxurious! Highlights - Once you are in the resort, you won’t want to leave as you can find everything you could want! The rooms are spacious and the grounds are just stunning. Most beautiful Buddha statue I have ever seen in my life. You just enter into the place and you will be amazed to see the statue itself. Very vast area to walk around. It cost 200 bhat per person. I have covered most of the area but it takes a day to completely cover The Grand Palace and The Reclining Buddha. Loved it. A real cultural treasure and must do if you have arts,architecture, historical, cultural, or spiritual interests. #wecreate

It has an over-40-meter long reclining Buddha statue inside the temple! And GUESS WHAT, is covered in gold leaf and adorned with intricate mother-of-pearl inlay on its feet! The temples have great architecture and provide LOTS of photo opportunities! To get there, take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin station, and then take a Chao Phraya River Express boat to Tha Tien pier. I booked a joint ticket on Koh Phangan on the fast ferry with Lomprayah. The cost from the island to Donsak and shuttle to Surat Thani Airport was 950 Bhat or about $30 USD (200 CNY). It's a good idea to buy this a few days before your flight. Then you check in about an hour before departure time. For myself this was 10am. The ferry leaves at 11:OO. We made our way to Donsak pier with a short stop in Samui. This seemed to take just over an hour and half. Depending on passengers loading and off loading you should arrive around 2:30 pm. We were a little slower on a big bus so arrived closer to 3pm. My flight was at 6 so plenty of time, but I would advise giving yourself ample connection time. The bus ride from Donsak Pier in Surat Thani Airport was the longer less comfortable part with no bathroom stops. Otherwise, still the faster way to fly out of the area. Surat Thani Airport has modernised a bit and departures are up on the second floor.#mytripvlog

This Koh Phangan trip is so good. We stayed at Dakanada Villa Resort. The sunset view is so awesome. The room is right on the beach. In the morning, there are many people playing skiing, sea activities, very lively. The price is 3,095 baht per night, but the view is so good. 5 stars for sure. #Sleep and relax in a beautiful place

There are many other good things about Koh Phangan, such as climbing mountains to see the view, visiting cool cafes, or going snorkeling. There are very few reviews of snorkeling here. No one has reviewed it. Let's go. This time, I'll review it for you. Getting there: It's not difficult to get to Koh Phangan. First, you have to take a boat to Koh Phangan. There are many ways to get there, such as taking a bus from Bangkok, buying a package to the island, or taking a plane to Surat Thani. Or you can drive to the pier in Chumphon or Surat Thani provinces. When you arrive on Koh Phangan, walk out of the pier to your accommodation. Most accommodations here don't pick you up at the pier. They will charge an additional fee. The price depends on the hotel. Or you can rent a car (gasoline on the island is expensive). The most convenient way is to walk out and call a taxi (songthaew) to the hotel. Contact them before going. It's better than calling one at the bus station because some people are charged a very high fare. We stayed at Koh Ma, the car fee was 100 baht per person. Boat rental: Some hotels have packages, whether it's a boat or a join-trip. We went with a group of people, so we chose to charter a boat and not join anyone because we like that we can stay where we want as long as we don't have to wait for anyone. Our boat fare for 1 day was 2,500 baht, 5 people, 500 baht per person. Joining a trip is also 500 baht. 😫 You can make an appointment with the boat owner for the boat time. You can order food in your own box or eat it on the beach where they stop to rest. The normal price on the island is not too expensive. We booked the boat from Black Coral Tour. Snorkeling package: The boat will provide a snorkeling mask and free drinking water. Today, the boat took us to 3 places: Koh Ma 2 points, Hat Khot and Hat Khom. We didn't have enough time, so we missed Hat Salad because we took too long to dive at the first point at Koh Ma. The first point, Koh Ma, is not on the Mae Hat side. It's on the other side, behind the mountain, as shown in the review picture in this post. This point is very beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see it and say "wow". It's so clear. Yes, we stayed here for 2 hours and flew a drone until we got the beautiful picture we wanted. In addition to the clear water, there are also a lot of corals and fish. It's a pity that we mostly took videos underwater. On the Phangan, Koh Tao, Krabi, and Phi Phi sides, you won't see much Nemo.
