We drove for 4 days from Kinshasa, through the Congo rainforest and some local desert areas in remote areas, to Gungu, 600 kilometers away. Most of the road is along Highway 1 (Kinshasa-Lubumbashi), but later there is a 30-kilometer dirt road.
