PERFECT Hikers expedition KILIMANJARO CLIMB 6 DAYS MARANGU
Marangu route also known as “Coca-Cola” route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast of the Mountain. It is the oldest established route. Many favor the Marangu Route because it is considered to be the easiest route on the mountain. The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time is a bit low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended, maximizing the chance of reaching to the summit. Marangu is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations.

7 Days Trekking Kilimanjaro Machame Route
The Machame Route is one of the popular trekking routes to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. It is known for its scenic beauty, diverse landscapes, and a relatively higher success rate of reaching the summit. The route typically takes around 6 to 7 days to complete, allowing trekkers enough time for proper acclimatization.

6 days Kilimanjaro climbing Machame route
Known as the "Whiskey" route, the Machame route is now the most popular route on the mountain. Compared with Marangu, the days on Machame are longer and the walks are steeper. The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous folks and those with some hiking or backpacking experience.
The route begins from the south, then heads east, traversing underneath Kilimanjaro's southern ice field before summiting. The minimum number of days required for this route is six days, although seven days is recommended. The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. However, due to the heavy crowds, it loses some of its spendor.

Materuni Waterfall Day Trip
From Tree to Cup.Materuni Waterfall Nestled on the mountain slopes of Kilimanjaro lays the beautiful coffee village of Materuni. Produce your own cup of coffee from tree to cup. Receive first hand secrets of what makes a good cup of coffee from the local Chagga people. Only a small hike from the village lay the homonymous 80m high Materuni waterfalls. A relaxing swim in Kilimanjaro fletcher water grows the day.
Begin the day with a short drive up onto the slopes of Kilimanjaro, to the village of Materuni, approximately 1,800 m above sea level. This lush rainforest region is known for producing some of the best coffee in East Africa. Start the day with a visit to a small coffee farm and learn about how the coffee is grown, harvested and processed locally. Try your own hand at processing, roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee in the local Chagga way.Once you have finished enjoying your coffee break, you will depart on a beautiful 45 minute hike through the hills and valleys en route to the waterfalls.
Along the way your guide will teach you about local plants and how they are used for food and traditional medicine, as well as giving you more insight into the local Chagga culture. The waterfalls are hidden in a pristine valley with cliffs towering up to 200ft overhead. The water falls straight down in a curtain to land in a small pool where you can relax, take lunch and go for a swim in the chill mountain waters. After the falls hike you will return back to the car and return to Moshi. This is an experience you are sure to love, full of natural beauty, engaging education, and of course coffee.

Chemka Hotspring
Maji Moto, known locally as Kikuletwa Hotsprings, is paradisiac oasis amidst the Tanzanian savannah, offers captivating, Bounty-styled views, crystal-clean water and dense vegetation around. Located in 2-hour drive from Moshi (Tanzania) – the main climbing hub of the region – Chemka Hot Springs is the best place to visit after a Kilimanjaro hike or a safari adventure.
Chemka oasis is a unique phenomenon – it is the only place in Tanzania (and most likely in the whole East Africa), where the groundwater actively interacted with geothermal sources, forming a number of small lakes with warm, never-stagnating water, which purity is not inferior to the best Dominican or Maldivian resorts.
We pick you up from your hotel early in the morning. The road to the Hot Springs is very bumpy and windy, so driving takes more than one hour. During the trip you can enjoy the wonderful scenery and see the authentic Tanzanian life. When we arrive at the Hot Springs you can swim, relax, eat your lunch and enjoy the sun. If you'd like, while you are swimming we can be preparing a barbecue for you. Additionally, if you desire, we can overnight at the Hot Springs with a camp fire and a bush dinner. Everywhere around the springs you can see baboons and different monkeys.

KILIMANJARO HIKING, 6 days machame
For those who only have six days to climb Kilimanjaro, the Machame route is the best choice because of its acclimatization profile. Compared to other six day routes, the Machame route exposes the climber to higher elevations quicker (day three) which kick starts the body's adaptation to altitude. However, this route requires that a person be in good shape to be able to tackle the challenging elevation gains and losses. The six day Machame variation is a difficult route. In particular, day four combined with day five makes for a very hard schedule. Day four is a full day of hiking from Barranco to Barafu. Then after dinner and a partial night's sleep, the very long and strenuous summit day begins around midnight. The 6 day Machame route requires 19-24 hours of demanding walking, at extremely high elevation, with only 4-6 hours of sleep.
The path leads hikers through the rain forest to Shira Plateau. Here, many of Kilimanjaro’s routes converge. Then the route turns east and travers’s underneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. Descent is made via the Mweka route.
DAY ONE: MOSHI- MACHAME GATE- MACHAME CAMP
Elevation (ft): 5,400ft to 9,400ft, Distance: 11 km, Hiking Time: 5-7 hours, Habitat: Rain Forest. We will drive from Moshi to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park Gate takes about 50 minutes. The journey passes through the village of Machame which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain. We now leave the park gate and walk through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge. Lower down, the trail can be muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are a good idea here. We continue a short distance until we reach the Machame Camp.
DAY TWO: MACHAME CAMP- SHIRA CAMP
Elevation (ft): 9,400ft to 12,500ft, Distance: 5 km, Hiking Time: 4-6 hours, Habitat: Moorlan. After breakfast, we leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path, crossing the little valley walking along a steep rocky ridge, covered with heather, until the ridge ends. The route now turns west onto a river gorge. Time for rest, dinner, and overnight at the Shira campsite.
DAY THREE: SHIRA CAMP- LAVA TOWER HUT- BARRANCO CAMP
Elevation (ft): 12,500ft to 13,000ft, Distance: 10 km, Hiking Time: 6-8 hours,Habitat: Semi Desert From the Shira Plateau, we continue to the east up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. As we continue, our direction changes to the South East towards the Lava Tower, called the "Shark's Tooth." Shortly after the tower, we come to the second junction which brings us up to the Arrow Glacier at an altitude of 16,000ft. We now continue down to the Barranco Hut at an altitude of 13,000ft. Here we rest, enjoy dinner, and overnight. Although you end the day at the same elevation as when you started, this day is very important for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.
DAY FOUR: BARRANCO CAMP- KARANGA CAMP- BARAFU CAMP
Elevation (ft): 13,000ft to 15,000ft, Distance: 9km, Hiking Time: 8-10 hours, Habitat: Alpine DesertAfter breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge passing the Barranco Wall, to the Karanga Valley campsite. Then, we leave Karanga and hit the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu Hut. At this point, you have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here we make camp, rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day. The two peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo are to be seen from this position
DAY FIVE: BARAFU CAMP- UHURU PEAK- MWEKA CAMP
km, descent Elevation (ft): 15,300ft to 19,345ft (and down to 10,000ft) , Distance: 5 km ascent / 12 Hiking Time: 7-8 hours ascent / 4-6 hours descent , Habitat: Arctic Very early in the morning (midnight to 2am), we continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy screed towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. At Stella Point (18,600 ft), you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting). From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. At Uhuru Peak, you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. Faster hikers will see the sunrise from the summit. From the summit, we now make our descent continuing straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for lunch. You will want gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and a well-earned sleep.
DAY SIX: MWEKA CAMP- MWEKA GATE- MOSHI
Elevation (ft): 10,000ft to 5400ft, Distance: 10 km , Hiking Time: 3-4 hours, Habitat: Rain Forest After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and t-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy). From the gate, you continue another hour to Mweka Village. A vehicle will meet you at Mweka village to drive you back to hotel in Moshi.

7 Days Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Hiking
The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate.
Climb and Safari Tours® specializes in guiding on the Lemosho route. Most of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using this route and they consistently report that they loved it. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rain forest to Shira Ridge. The Lemosho route crosses the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike. Moshi Bike Trip( kilimanjaro bike trekking)
Our guided Moshi Bike Tour with African Trek & Travel is popular for a reason. And it’s the best way to really see the true Moshi. This fascinating tour takes you from the colorful, bustling Moshi town roads to nearby picturesque villages, through forest trails and along tiny farmland paths. You’ll get an authentic flavor of this little typically-Tanzanian community nestling in the green and fertile foothills of Kilimanjaro, through first-hand experience of town and agricultural life and of its colonial history. And you’ll enjoy a cheeky beer, too! You’ll start the day making friends with your bike from Afro-Vertex Tours & Safaris; getting it set up so it’s comfy and becoming familiar with the controls. Don’t worry; your friendly guide will help you do all this. And, of course, you’ll get comprehensive advice and instruction on how to negotiate the Tanzanian roads, so that you’re confident and safe when out riding. You’ll dive right into the bustling daily life of Moshi, cycling at a leisurely pace to the Majengo district of Moshi, which is the heartland of Moshi craft. Check out the dizzying array of local crafts and hand-made goods artily arranged at the roadside. From here you’ll pass through the small farms and family houses of the Msaranga area, taking in the daily activities of schools, mosques and churches as you ride by. Your journey then takes you through fields of growing rice, one of Tanzania’s staple foods and you’ve an opportunity of helping out the local field workers. You’ll certainly gain an appreciation of how much hard work goes into a sack of rice! Enjoy the product of your (albeit short) labor with a tasty lunch, hosted by a friendly local family. You’ll enjoy pilau, a traditional rice-based Tanzanian meal, as you chill out with your host family on their shady verandah. Once you’ve rested and fuelled-up, it’s time to continue your bike ride through the Rau Forest, a jewel of protected tropical woodland, alive with birdsong and the calls of animals. Keep an eye out for the black-and-white faces of colobus monkeys peering curiously at you as you go by. You won’t be the first to wonder just how fluffy a monkey tail can be. Once through the shady canopy of the Rau Forest, your last stop is the old railway station. You might feel you’ve stepped back one hundred years to German colonial times; close your eyes and you can still sense the energy and bustle echoing down the century. With a little bit of luck, you’ll have a great view of Kilimanjaro while sipping a cold beer from the railway station bar, a lovely final stop before your ride back into town where you can finally rest your weary but happy legs.
