Kilarney Ring of Kerry
#familytrips2024
Our family excursion along the Ring of Kerry in Killarney was a picturesque journey through Ireland's stunning landscapes. As we drove along the winding roads, we were treated to breathtaking views of rugged coastlines, rolling green hills, and serene lakes. Each twist and turn revealed a new vista more beautiful than the last, with charming villages and ancient ruins dotting the countryside. We stopped to explore hidden gems like Muckross House and Gardens, where we immersed ourselves in the rich history and natural beauty of the region. It was a day filled with laughter, adventure, and awe-inspiring moments, as we bonded over our shared love for exploration and discovery.
Looking ahead, our next dream destination to explore as a family is the majestic wilderness of Banff National Park in Canada. With its towering mountain peaks, sparkling glacial lakes, and abundant wildlife, Banff promises an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We imagine hiking through pristine forests, paddling on turquoise-blue lakes, and marveling at the stunning vistas from atop mountain summits. Banff offers a perfect blend of outdoor activities and natural beauty, where we can create lasting memories together as a family against the backdrop of one of the world's most breathtaking wilderness areas.

Landscapes of Ireland's Ring of Kerry
My journey along the Ring of Kerry in Ireland was an enchanting voyage through emerald hills, rugged coastlines, and mystical heritage sites, painting a picture of Ireland's storied past and breathtaking natural beauty. This circular route, winding through the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, offered panoramic views that captivated the heart and stirred the soul.
Setting out from Killarney, the gateway to the Ring, I was immediately struck by the lushness of the landscape. The route meandered through Killarney National Park, where ancient oak forests meet the serene lakes of Killarney, reflecting the mountains in their tranquil waters. Torc Waterfall, with its cascading waters set against a backdrop of dense woodland, was a highlight, epitomizing the raw beauty of Ireland's natural wonders.
Driving further, the coastal vistas opened up to reveal the wild Atlantic Ocean crashing against sheer cliffs. The views from points like Ladies View and Moll's Gap were breathtaking, offering a sweeping panorama of the mountains, lakes, and sea that define the region's rugged charm.
The quaint towns and villages along the route, such as Kenmare, Sneem, and Waterville, provided a glimpse into the traditional Irish way of life. Each stop was an opportunity to engage with local culture, from listening to spontaneous sessions of traditional Irish music in a cozy pub to savoring freshly caught seafood.
A visit to the ancient Staigue Fort, a stone ringfort believed to date back to the late Iron Age, connected me to Ireland's ancient past. Standing within the fort's massive stone walls, I contemplated the centuries of history that had unfolded in this mystical land.
The Ring of Kerry also offered moments of serenity at lesser-known spots off the beaten path. Detouring to Valentia Island, I discovered the stunning Bray Head walk, which offered unparalleled views of the Skellig Islands, rising majestically from the Atlantic – a testament to the area's spiritual and natural significance.
Throughout the journey, the ever-changing light and weather added to the dramatic scenery, with rainbows frequently arching over the hills, adding to the magic of the landscape.
Embarking on the Ring of Kerry was more than a scenic drive; it was an immersion into the heart of Irish culture, history, and the enchanting landscapes that have inspired poets, artists, and travelers for centuries. The journey was a reminder of the enduring allure of Ireland's natural beauty and the deep cultural roots that connect this land to its people.

The ring of Kerry; A sight to behold
the ring of Kerry is the most iconic travels for seeing all of beautiful Kerry. might be pretty arguable, but visiting Ireland and not visiting Kerry is an incomplete trip.
To get to the ring of Kerry I didn’t use public transportation so I might not know the actual way in getting there because I was taken by friends. but along the way you can also find beautiful sceneries such as the Torc waterfalls and many more. reaching up to the ring of Kerry, you can see lady view, a cool restaurant with a beautiful roof top

The Tenacity of Water: Sculpting Nature's Masterpieces, Drop by Drop 💦🌍
💧 Water, the life-giving force that flows through our world, holds a power that is both awe-inspiring and humbling. Drop by drop, it carves its way through unyielding rocks, leaving behind magnificent caves and polished stones. 🌊 These exquisite formations are testaments to the remarkable energy and constancy that define the elemental force of water. Its strength lies not in brute force, but in its unwavering determination to shape and bring forth breathtaking wonders. 💪💫🌌 In the presence of these natural wonders, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate beauty that water creates. Each twist and turn, each curve and crevice, felt like a carefully crafted masterpiece. From serene waterfalls cascading down moss-covered cliffs to mighty rivers carving their paths through the land, water sculpted the world around me with a delicate yet tenacious touch. 💦🌿✨
Nice walk to Torc Waterfall 🗺️
#timetotravel
Torc Waterfall, nestled in the heart of Killarney National Park, Ireland, is a natural wonder that left me in awe of its beauty and tranquility. My visit to this picturesque waterfall was a serene escape into the Irish wilderness.
Reaching the falls required a peaceful hike through lush woodlands, accompanied by the sounds of gurgling streams and birdsong. As I approached Torc Waterfall, the sight of the cascading waters was truly mesmerizing.
What sets this waterfall apart is its pristine and unspoiled surroundings. The emerald green moss-covered rocks and ancient trees create a timeless atmosphere.

Especially the Ring of Dingle🌊
Driving to the end will really be shocked by the magnificent sea view!
Another item on the life list is achieved~

Dublin🚗Galway
One of the stops that can't be missed on the ring line is Galway
Walk from The Latin Quarter to the seaside
Young people are sunbathing on The Long Walk
Eating pizza and drinking beer on the seaside dam at sunset, chatting about life
There are also people who bring speakers to play songs, and there are rows of rainbow houses🌈 across the street
It's hard not to love such a relaxed moment!
✅Day2
Cliffs of Moher🚗Adare🚗Dingle Peninsula
✨Cliffs of Moher
🚗Self-driving is recommended to drive to Guerin's Path, which is a private parking lot. It takes two minutes to walk to the edge of the cliff. The parking fee is charged per person, 5 euros per person, which is much more conscience than 12 euros per person at the tourist center🙈
🚶🏻♂️Walking south from the Cliffs of Moher for a while is 📍Viewpoint South, this section is the best position for taking pictures!📷
Walking north is O'Brien's Tower and Pollboy Lookout, where you can take pictures of the cliffs from different angles~
If you have enough time, you can walk all the way to 📍Hags Head, which takes more than an hour to walk~
✨Adare Town
Adare is located on the east bank of the Maigue River in Ireland
The characteristic buildings here are thatched houses with colorful walls, which are very photogenic📸
The whole town is not big, you can stroll around in one or two hours
Drink a cup of Irish coffee on the street, eat a meal of Irish food
Enjoy the original rural scenery of Ireland~
In addition to the white thatched houses on both sides of the main road

✅Day4
Kilkenny🚗Dublin
✨Kilkenny Castle
🎫Castle 8€, Rose Garden free🆓
Kilkenny Castle was built on a bend of the Nore River. This Norman-era building has experienced centuries of ups and downs.
The so-called "copper wall and iron wall" Kilkenny Castle is an irregular quadrilateral and has a large number of drum towers. Most of this building has been preserved intact, although it has undergone many reconstructions.
After visiting the inside of the castle, don't forget to take a look at the free Rose Garden behind, the garden has fountains and various flowers, the scenery is very beautiful.
The art gallery and souvenir shop opposite the castle can also be visited.
Return to Dublin after the end, the four-day tour is still a bit hasty, many places have not had time to check in, if you have plenty of time, you can leave a week for a deep self-driving tour!💕
Dunmore Head Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Holding a whisky while watching dolphins, cheers to Dingle
Dingle, Kerry County is located at the southern end of Scotland, and due to its geographical location, plus Scotland is not a traditional popular European travel destination, this place is often forgotten .
In fact, Dingle has both a tranquil and lively temperament. Here, you can often see herds of cattle and sheep slowly grazing on the hillsides; turning your head to board a small boat, you can also see adorable dolphins leaping through the waves.
📝Note tips:
The local fish and chips taste quite good compared to the rest of the British Isles, especially the fish, which is fresh and delicious.
The buildings here are colorful, and you can take more photos on the main street.
Consider taking a trip to Dunmore Head, which is one of the filming locations for the movie 'Star Wars'!
