The tranquility which you seek can be found here. The temple is placed in between several mountains. Which allows the visitors with an amazing views and scenery. If you are not that much into visiting temple itself but someone want you to tag along then don't miss the opportunity; it is worth the 22KM trek. My recommendation stay for more like 2 -3 days before coming down to sonpryag. Try to wake up early and catch sunrise with the mountains, it's mesmerizing. #tripblazers #bucketlistreboot #bucketlistreboot #mytripvlog #awesomepic

A Snowy Town In Kedarnath
Thinking of a solo travel and someone unique and different from the others? Head to this town of Kedarnath where you will be rewarded with magnificent view of the Kedarnath Dham and the background of the snow mountains.
Although most locals come here for spiritual religious fulfillment but one can also come here just for one of the unique beautiful destination to explore. It depends what kind of route you prefer to take, but of course don't expect a luxurious route on this trip. There are several ways you can go up there, either by bike, bus or even trekking but I do recommend to plan it with a trustable local tour agency and just leave it to them to plan your iternary and stay! For me, we gave it to our trustable friend Salin to plan everything out for us. But hey if you do have abit more cash, and wants the fastest way, a helicopter route is also available that only costs about $130 for a round trip which takes you there within 10mins. But if you want to experience the full trekking experience, I do reckon just do the trekking experience up the temple!
Make this a unique YOLO experience for yourself that not many has accomplished in the land of the Himalayas.

#passionpassport
Kedarnath temple is one of the sacred pilgrimage centre in Northern India, located on the bank of Mandakini river at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. The historical name of this region is "Kedar Khand". Kedarnath temple is a part of Char Dhams and Panch Kedar in Uttarakhand and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India. To reach the temple one can hike 23-24 Kms one way or can take helicopter from Gaurikund. Hiking takes around 7-8 hrs and it’s a beautiful trek. I’m winters when temple gates closes temperature can go low as -10 and gets colder in nights. There are places to rest in night very basic. #kedarnath #hiking
Kedarnath
Kedarnath Temple (Sanskrit: केदारनाथ मंदिर, IAST: Kēdāranātha Mandira, lit. 'temple of the lord of the field') is a Hindu temple (shrine) dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. The temple is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima, the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigraha (deity) from Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for the next six months. Kedarnath is seen as a homogenous form of Shiva, the 'Lord of Kedarkhand', the historical name of the region.[1]

Symbol of atonement
According to ancient mythology, this temple 🛕 is built by Pandavas (a family name) after their great war fought against Gauravs. If you had read into Indian history Mahabharata is inevitable and the story by itself can make a better thriller than Game of Thrones 👑. Built in the 8th century, this temple is one of the oldest one still standing strong. Situated at the foothills of himalaya this provides a perfect magnanimity and a devotion towards Shiva (a Hindu God). For ages, it is believed that Himalayas 🏔️ is his home and everyone makes a holy hiking 🥾 journey towards this deity. Totally immaculate in its own way, this place should definitely should be in your bucket list if you're traveling to India. You can reach here from the Rishikesh railway station 🚉 or by bus to Gaurikund. #indiatravel #temples

After Badrinath, it is a 10-hour drive on a rough mountain road🚙... Our goal is the biggest challenge, Kedarnath. By the time we reach Sonprayag, the closest town to the destination that can be reached by car, the sun has set.
The next day, The journey is more difficult than we could have imagined. 12 hours to climb, 8 hours to descend, a total of 20 hours round trip! As I posted earlier, when we arrived, we were greeted by a majestic view and a spiritual atmosphere that left us speechless.
