2025 Katori Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in January)

Sawara Station is a historic train station. The JR Narita Line has trains running between Sawara and Narita about once an hour. The infrequent schedule and fewer tourists allowed me to leisurely enjoy the slow-paced life in the water town of Sawara during the summer. It was wonderful! I highly recommend visiting Onogawa. Besides walking along Onogawa, another way to enjoy it is by taking a sightseeing boat. The cost is ¥1300 per person, and the boat ride lasts about 30 minutes. Each boat has a boatman, and passengers need to wear life jackets. You can enjoy the scenery along both banks of Onogawa and occasionally pass under bridges, where the boatman will remind passengers to duck their heads. It's quite interesting.

I feel I have eaten much better ramen elsewhere or even at other ichiran branches. All this queuing and hyping up silly things is beyond my understanding. The service is good and fast. However, the booths are small and narrow, quite uncomfortable, coming from a petite person. The ramen I had in Kobe is soooo much better - rich in broth, more generous in cha siu pork, and cheaper in price. We can say trying it once is enough. The service is okay, not as good as other restaurants we previously visited in Japan. And the environment - tight in seats and definitely not a place to mingle or relax. #japantrip #ramen #deliciousfood

#JapanTravel Visiting the Suigo Sawara Ayame Park in Japan was a magical and dazzling experience. This famous park is located on the banks of the Sonar River and is famous for growing beautiful Japanese iris flowers. As soon as I arrived, I was dazzled by the elegant view and nature of the plants and flowers blooming everywhere. I walked through the wooden corridors and thought about the bright flowers and charming photos I could take here. I was happy to sit in one of the seats for a few hours while watching the water and nature hymns. Visiting this wonderful park was an unforgettable experience.

I wanted to drink Japanese kabe (old-fashioned tea house coffee style) rather than green tea, so I came to a traditional cafe.
