There is a sightseeing wooden boat on the lake (it is free, but sometimes you need to queue up). You can take a glass-bottomed boat to tour the lake. It was a divine spot where the emerald green shone. Since I visited in late June, the green shone even more and the beauty was breathtaking. There were benches, so I was able to spend a relaxing time watching boats gracefully rowing on the lake. There is a statue of a woman sunken in the lake, which was made by artist and sculptor Raphael Fuchs based on the legend of Blausee. 📍Location: Blausee Naturpark, 3717 Blausee, 2Switzerland Go to "Frutigen" or "Kandersteg", then take the bus (number 230) for about 15 minutes and get off at "Blausee BE". The entrance fee in late June was 11 Swiss francs. Blue Lake has a bit of the charm of Jiuzhaigou, but it is much smaller in scale. If you have been to Jiuzhaigou, you might not need to make a special trip here and could save your time for Lake Oeschinen. However, if you have never experienced the beauty of Jiuzhaigou, Blue Lake is still worth a visit. 💡Tip: The ticket to Blue Lake includes a free lake tour, and there is a restaurant in the scenic area. If you don't have coins for parking, you can buy a parking ticket directly at the ticket office.

#mytripvlog Lake Blausee is very easily accessible and has many facilities to offer. Not like some other Blue Lakes in Switzerland that can only be reached after some hours of hiking, this one is a bit different. And because it has all kinds of facilities and is easily accessible, the Blausee gets busy in the peak summer season of July and August. Something else which is different with this lake is that it is gated and only accessible with a payable entry ticket. I be honest, I don’t like to pay to visit a natural alpine lake, but if you want to visit Blausee in Kandersteg, it is the only way to enter the nature area.
