✅ Wat Arun Thammasathan, another beautiful temple that should not be missed in Chaiyaphum Province, is located on the top of Khao Chong Lom, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province. It was built in 2007 and covers an area of 60 rai. Phra Thammasirichai, the 13th abbot of Wat Arun Ratchawararam, was the construction manager. With its shady, quiet, and airy atmosphere, many Buddhists come to make merit and practice Dhamma here.
✅ In addition to being a peaceful place for practicing Dhamma, the temple also has beautiful architecture, especially the Phra Mahathat Ratchamongkhon Chedi Sirichai Bhum or Phra That Chaiyaphum, which is an important Buddhist site. The chedi has a combination of Lan Xang and Lanna architecture. It is 21 meters high in white with niches enshrining Buddha images in all four directions. The top of the chedi is covered with Jangko gold sheets and covered with gold leaf in the Lanna style, beautifully standing out in the center of the temple.
✅ Inside the temple, there are other buildings that allow us to admire beautiful architecture along the way, from the Naga stairs decorated with intricate stucco patterns to the pavilions enshrining various Buddha images. So that we can go in and pay homage. In addition, each point in the temple is decorated with local handicrafts from the Northeast, including a viewpoint where you can clearly see the view of the towns and mountains in Chaiyaphum Province. It is a beautiful temple with a great atmosphere.
