Wat Nong Hu Ling, an ancient temple in the middle of a field, beautiful and magnificent, with profound moral precepts
For those who come to Maha Sarakham and want to experience the atmosphere of a beautiful temple with moral precepts, we recommend "Wat Nong Hu Ling" or known as Wat Ruea Ananta Nakarat!
Its highlight is the unique boat-shaped chapel. The golden boat is beautifully and meticulously decorated. Most importantly, this temple was built in 1933! It is very old and valuable. 😊
The chapel here was designed by the abbot, Phra Khru Bowon Thammakhun, who intended to build it in the shape of a "Boat of Merit", which contains many moral precepts, from the 4-way staircase representing the "Four Noble Truths" to the low door that requires visitors to bend down, showing respect and humility towards the principal Buddha image. Inside is the principal Buddha image in the attitude of giving the first sermon, as if inviting people to listen to the teachings of the Lord Buddha himself.
✨ The chapel is stunningly beautiful. The details of the patterns around it are exquisitely detailed. And the Dharma is hidden in every spot. It is the charm that makes this temple one of the must-visit check-in points for those who love to make merit in Maha Sarakham. Anyone who likes to walk around beautiful temples will definitely fall in love.
