She does not actually crochet but loves arts and crafts that are lovingly made by hand. Her friend, folk artist, Ramona Otto gave her 2 crochet bottle poodles years ago and told her she should start a collection. "Really?" Shari replied. But she kept finding cut crochet poodles and then moved to Kansas City where the collection really grew thanks to great yard sales, estate sales and antique stores. A few feet away from the WFCM is Shari Elf's store which is filled with Shari's art and recycled clothing and t-shirts printed with Shari's art. All located at the Art Queen complex of stores, galleries, another museum, The Beauty Bubble and apartments."
