Jiufen - Jinguashi Qingchab Tour Edition
This Jiufen trip is full of nature, with mountains, waterfalls and the sea. It's a quick tour, a tour without having to get off the bus, a legendary Qingchab tour.
Travel Taipei - Jiufen
1. Keelung Bus Line 1062 (most convenient, no need to change buses, can sit all the way)
2. TRA train from Taipei Station - Ruifang Station and take a bus in front of the train station to Jiufen
When you get to the top by car, you will find a walking street, which is full of abandoned buildings, selling food, snacks and many tea shops. But if you want to visit nature, Jiufen has more places to visit. Just take a bus from the front of the station and you can take a bus to visit the places.
1. Gold Museum
This is a gold mining museum. There are exhibitions about the mining industry. There are also exhibits telling stories about history. In addition, the beautiful outdoor path has interesting points along the way. There is also a gold mine tunnel to visit.
Transportation: Take bus number 788 in front of the walking street, get off at Shi Shan stop, walk a bit further and you will reach the museum.
2. Take the Jinguashi Qingchab Tour Bus number 891.
Transportation: Take the bus in front of the Golden Musem, number 891.
I didn't actually plan this, but when I walked out of the museum, I saw this bus stop, so I jumped on. I found out that it was actually a Qingchab bus with a driver who would speak like a guide all the time (in Chinese). Even though I couldn't understand it, the guide was able to speak very well, making the journey very enjoyable. The bus would stop at every viewpoint so we could take pictures.
The bus would also pass the Golden waterfall. It was really beautiful, grand and magnificent.
The next highlight was the Yin Yang Sea, a two-colored seawater. It is a natural phenomenon, beautiful and strange.
Finally, the bus would circle back to the original museum and take the same bus back to the walking street, which should be in the evening. I recommend watching the sunset at Jiufen, it would be the most amazing. And just in time to catch the last bus back to Taipei
