This Spring Festival, I did not go to the crowded Xishuangbanna, but went to a small town around Pu'er. I have finally arrived at Jinggu, a place I have been eyeing for a long time! Jinggu has a long history and profound cultural heritage, and is famous for its numerous Buddhist relics. My previous post about the Mangka Xikang Yunshe Hot Spring Hotel was unexpectedly popular, so today I will introduce another hotel under the same brand, the Baima Mountain Xikang Yunshe Health Resort Hotel, located on another mountain top in Jinggu. I have been wanting to visit for a long time, but it is far away. I finally had the chance to visit during the National Day holiday, and the experience was perfect. The entire hotel is Mars base-themed and built on the top of Baima Mountain, creating a mysterious and magnificent atmosphere that feels isolated from the world. The brick-red buildings are set among the misty mountains, and the busy life is instantly put on pause. Picture 5 is an official photo, and the aerial view is really, really, really beautiful. During my stay, there were planes flying overhead every day. The most popular infinity pool is said to be the best in Pu'er. I wanted to jump in and swim as soon as I saw it. The pool faces the misty mountain top, and I didn't want to get out of the water all day. Unfortunately, it rained and cooled down when we visited during the National Day holiday, so I swam in the cold water at 20°C for a lonely photo. The pool is very clean, and the water is always circulating even when no one is swimming. There is also a glass platform in the water for photos. The deepest part is only 1.5 meters, so you can take photos even if you can't swim.

Jinggu County in Pu'er is a place many people have not visited, or even heard of. It is one of the few counties in Yunnan Province that is not accessible by highway. (The story in between could make up an entire episode, which reminds me of the love-hate relationship between the people of Luquan and the highway) Preface: Jinggu is not a tourist county, the tourism industry is not well-developed, and the attractions are quite scattered and inconvenient for travel, suitable only for self-driving. Car rental is also not convenient in Jinggu itself; I rented a car in Pu'er and drove there. Special reminder!! Since there is no highway, the road conditions are average, with many curves. Although it is a paved road throughout, some places are very narrow, so drive carefully. Attractions: 1. Mengwo Total Buddha Temple. The tree wraps around the pagoda, and the pagoda wraps around the tree, with a beautiful big banyan tree, especially lovely in the early morning and evening. (The people of Jinggu have many century-old Buddhist temples and relics, please show respect, visit as required, and do not be noisy. Searching for ancient Buddhist temples in Jinggu and tracing history can also be very interesting.) Image 1-2 2. Weiyuan River National Cultural Ecological Park. This is a highlight, very beautiful and recommended, with a children's playground, very family-friendly. Mountain swimming pool, sunrise, hiking cloud sea trail, and library are all highly recommended. Sunset is not visible, already tried. There are no dining places around the hotel, so plan ahead. 🏨 Jinggu Baimashan Xikang Yunshu Health Resort Hotel 🌟Highlights: The hotel is themed on the Mars tribe, located at the top of Baimashan, with round buildings scattered in the red land, like small planets in the vast starry sky. The small tents seem very small at this moment, and the clouds at the horizon feel very close. ❤Recommended reason: The price is moderate, except for the villa type which is more expensive, but the facilities are complete, there are many types to choose from, and the cost performance is higher in the off-season. There are also the Grand Canyon, hot springs, and Mengwo Zong Buddha Temple nearby for play. 👍Most recommended: The characteristic architecture is a highlight, the red land is paired with small round forts, cacti, boulders, and this is Mars in my heart! Super large playground, bouncing clouds, climbing facilities, rainbow slides, pink beach mini Ferris wheel, children of all ages can have a lot of fun! But there are more people on the barbecue side, and the dishes are also limited. The dishes are served very slowly in the peak season, try to go early for meals to avoid waiting too long 7. Pictures speak louder than words ✌️ Address - Yunnan, about 2-3h from Pu‘er by car. Basically in the middle of nowhere which makes it a great natural experience. Some proper driving skills and a SUV is needed, roads are bad on the last 30min Ambiance/Facilities - infinity pool, restaurant, BBQ and nature. Hotel is quite new and many facilities are not yet finished. Also, some were not open because there were like 10 guests top (Covid and location) Highlights - infinity pool and design Avg. Price per Person - 1.2K/night per room Rating - it’s something special, I’ll give it 5* for uniqueness

Getting There - car, around 2h from Pu‘er or 3.5h from Xishuangbanna Attractions - Hotsprings, baby. Plenty of high quality hotsprings in the middle of the rainforest, perfect for a weekend relax Hotels - this one! Jinggu Mangka Xikang, Great quality, awesome service, superb food! Food & Restaurants - only one restaurant in the hotel with plenty of options, in 10km radius you’ll find farmers selling fruits on the street - highly recommend the 🍍 Shopping - no shopping, nature only ;)
