Turquoise Water in Scotland
Location: Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris.
Getting there: You will need to get the boat from Ullapool on Scotland's mainland and then drive down.
This beach is so white and so beautiful. The water is turquoise colour and surreal. We spent an entire afternoon there in the summer and it was so tranquil.
Scotland has amazing beaches to visit in the summer time.

The Hebrid
The Hebrides are divided into two parts, the inner and outer parts. They are located in the westernmost part of the UK and face the west winds of the Atlantic Ocean. They are solitary and desolate. Mendelssohns Hebrides Overture is the subject of this. Amhuinnsuidhe Castle is one of the UK's westernmost castles on the island of Lewis-Harris, the main island of the Outer Hebrides. The first owner of the castle has almost half of the island's territory. After several generations of ups and downs, after the Second World War, the then heirs were donated to the public institutions. The requirements attached to the donation were the original preservation of the castle, and the recipients were convinced to keep their promises. Therefore, the castle is still the same, the bustling end, the world, Renoir's original paintings are still quietly hanging in the corner of the hall, waiting for strangers to pass the eyes of inadvertently.
The castle can only accommodate more than 10 occupants, and it is suitable for outdoor sports enthusiasts such as sea fishing and hiking. There is an unmanned grocery store in the castle attached to the lodge. The cashier box is so plain and plain, and it is a bit embarrassing to take the goods, register the books, and pay for the change.
When its going to be rainy and windy, its not surprising that the weather is rainy and windy, typical of Scotlands late autumn climate. I just think that there is such a castle, alone on the ocean side, with the accompanying west wind...
OO-OO.

Jellyfish Sea in Scotland!
✨ What is the Jellyfish Sea?
The turquoise waters of the Isle of Lewis and Harris, with white sandy beaches set against a gradient of blue and green, create a jellyfish-like visual effect when the tide recedes and the sunlight shines on the sandbars and shallows!
📍 Must-See Spots
1. Luskentyre Beach
▫ One of the top 3 white sand beaches in the UK! Jellyfish Sea + pink and blue sky + sheep = Japanese comic vibes
▫ At low tide, silver sandbars are exposed. Run and capture photos in a light-colored long dress for perfect wallpaper material.
2. Callanish Stones
▫ A mysterious stone circle older than Stonehenge! 53 gray and white megaliths arranged in a cross. Overlook the Jellyfish Sea from the "Hill of Grief" and get the same epic feeling as in *Braveheart*.
3. Huisinis Secret Beach
▫ A hidden paradise that can only be found by driving to the end of the B887 road! Jellyfish waves crash against black reefs, and you can also encounter the remains of World War II rocket experiments near the cliffs. A must-see for ruin lovers!
📅 Best Season
May-September is the perfect time to visit! June-August has up to 18 hours of daylight, and the Jellyfish Sea is so clear that visibility exceeds 10m. In September, there are fewer crowds, and you might even encounter the green ribbon sky, a precursor to the aurora. Avoid the winter winds, which are strong enough to make you question life.
🦪 Foodie Radar
▪ Freshly shucked oysters at Stornoway Harbor! £5 for seafood freedom, perfect with local whiskey.
▪ Must-try Harris smoked salmon. Scones with jam at the wool workshop cafe are a hidden menu item.
💡 Tips
▫ Outfit guide: white/nude long dress + wool shawl
▫ Souvenirs: handmade Harris tweed scarf! The only wool certification label in the world with the island owner's signature.
▫ Accommodation recommendation: sea view wooden cabin homestay £80/night. Bathe under the starry sky and watch the Jellyfish Sea waves for ultimate relaxation.
This summer, come to the end of the world and have a blue daydream 💙

Luskentyre beach
#getgoing2025
Luskentyre beach could almost be Caribbean in appearance. The vast expanse of silvery white sand and the crystal clear aquamarine / turquoise sea all combine to create what is often cited as the best beach in the British Isles. In the distance are the mountains of North Harris which further add to the beauty of this spot. As if all this wasn’t enough, you may be lucky enough to have the beach to yourself.

Luskentyre, Outer Hebrides, Scotland
The Isle of Harris has some of the most evocative landscapes in the Outer Hebrides. Brooding, sombre backdrops, terrains reminiscent of lunar scenes - it has a real sense of isolation. And there are many beaches to be enjoyed, too. The best is arguably Luskentyre, which has azure-green waters less associated with Scotland than with the Caribbean: clear as crystal, and trimmed by vast white coastline. Occasionally, wild ponies are spotted grazing along the dunes, but they're not the only nature to be spied: otters, seals, dolphins, eagles and deer all call Harris home.
