Konomiya Shrine, Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture
It is surrounded by residential areas, about a 5-minute walk from the underground ticket gates at Konomiya Station, where the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line express trains stop. On the day I visited, the Inazawa Festival happened to be taking place, and the approach to the shrine is long and beautiful.
Konomiya Shrine enshrines Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, and is famous for its naked festival in winter. I didn't go to the naked festival because it was too crowded, but they sell Naoi-nuno, a torn hand towel that wards off misfortune (purifies misfortune), so if you want to buy a charm, I recommend that. No reservation is required for prayers such as exorcism, and they are open until 4pm every day. The water fountain is automatic. Although the shrine grounds are large, there is no place to hydrate, so it's better to buy a drink on the way to the station.#.
I like the solemn atmosphere of the main shrine and the auxiliary shrine in the photo, which is a little away from the main shrine.
And the lottery at Konomiya Shrine is frighteningly good. I always draw my lucky number with the determination to tremble when I draw it. #PowerSpot #Kojiki
