Huangguoshu Waterfall is the one of the place I would recommend anyone who is visiting Guiyang to visit. The location is around 120 kms from Guiyang city center. It’s taking around 1.30-2 hrs to get there (by driving). Better to get there in the morning since the ticket is included 3 tourist locations (220 rmb per person). After buying the ticket, you need to take a bus to the waterfall (included in 220 rmb). At the waterfall, you rather have a choice to walk or use the escalator to the spot (50 rmb for round trip / 30 rmb for one way). Recommended to walk to the waterfall and return by the escalator. Huangguoshu Waterfall, the first in Asia and the fourth in the world. I went to this long-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall alone, first took the high-speed rail, then transferred to a shared car. After arriving, I bought a ticket on the spot and had to queue up in a long line to get on the electric car. Finally, I saw this spectacular waterfall. Many staff members took photos for me. I printed the photos on the spot as a souvenir. I was very satisfied after checking in in front of the waterfall. It turns out that you can climb a flight of stone steps and pass through the middle of the waterfall to the other side, which is called the Water Curtain Cave. It is very rare to see the water flow up close from the inside of the waterfall. What is even more surprising is to see a rainbow in front of the waterfall. Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Asia and the largest cluster of waterfalls in the world! It was a surreal visit and one that I will never forget. We left early and I would recommend this to avoid the busy crowds. We took a taxi from our hotel to the ticket office. Tickets cost 220rmb including entry to the falls and the shuttle buses. The first shuttle bus takes you to a lovely scenic park, home to a rushing river and waterfall. When you are ready, you can take the shuttle bus to the second location. A beautiful park with endless rivers, streams and lakes. You can walk through caves and narrow rock passages to take in the amazing views. The next shuttle bus takes you through the park to Huangguoshu Waterfall - the star of the show! Before walking down to the waterfall, you can enjoy the bonsai garden and water lily lake. Huangguoshu falls are truly breathtaking and a once in a lifetime experience. You can get very close to the waterfall meaning you get very wet - be sure to bring or buy a rain coat on site. On a sunny day, there will always be a rainbow above the falls which was incredible to see. You can then take a long walk to the waterfall caves where you are able to ‘walk through the waterfall’. There are a number of different food and drink vendors at each site of the waterfall park.
