This is one of the best hikes i’ve ever had . It’s located in the peak district. Though it’s just only a hill but the view up there is jaw dropping. We’ve met some new friends and it was really fun. So, after reaching at the top, we had our lunch over there, took a rest, and climbed down eventually. The water of the river near one of the small pubs is a constant flow; there is also an almost-always open bakery nearby, where local villagers line up to get their bread. Alternatively, you also can start your hiking from the Hope Valley or Lose Hill. The summit of Mam Tor provides spectacular views of the surrounding valleys, making it a great place to start your walk or take a break. You can choose either one of the route to reach the summit of Mam Tor.

A visit to a 19th century mill might not sound like the best idea for a winter’s walk but visiting Bamford Mill and the surrounding area in England’s oldest national park, the Peak District may change your mind. This easy walk takes in not only the beautiful historic building but takes you over stepping stones on the Derwent river with small waterfalls besides you, to open moorland with fantastic views of the surrounding area to a quite spot alongside Bamford reservoir. One of the top walks in the area and far less busy than some of the other sites in the park. #voyagevibes

England’s first, most visited and most accessible national parks has many sights and sounds for all to enjoy however the town of Castleton and its imposing peak of Mam Tor may top that list. The town itself features many cafes and restaurants and on top of that a number of famous caves where you can either descend on foot or by boat. Mam Tor itself involves a steep climb up to the summit followed by a walk along some very well maintained footpaths along the crest with views for miles around. #hike #peakdistrict

The British winter is often seen through the lens of dark nights and people sat at home by the fire as it rains outside.
