Today's Weather
Cloudy 2-9℃
Great calm location
The hotel is 5 mins by walk from the bus terminal, which makes it extremely convenient. It's another 5 mins from the old town. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is basic but quite adequate.
The rooms facing the back are especially quiet and relaxing which makes for a good stay. The rooms are extremely modern but very adequate.
Finally the staff are extremely lovely and friendly. So overall a great overall choice; convenient and comfortable.

Honfleur - France: A couple hours drive from Paris. This is a lovely town with old style building. We can take a walk around the city and enjoy nice Seafood meals there during the day. There are a lot of restaurants located nearby the pier. There is also an old church located up on the hill which take half an hour walk only. 🛥🛥🛥
Prettiest Harbor Town
Due to a missed flight and delay in arrival. I had to miss one night of my stay in Honfleur as I was only going to arrive the next day. And in that one day, I managed to get a good taste of what Honfleur can offer. Clearly now from experience, if i'm to return (most likely). I might even stay longer than 2 nights.
While most of my time and activity was around the Vieux Bassin, the gorgeous old harbour. Do not mistake that to be the only thing Honfleur has to offer. It's full of heritage and centuries old townhouses, churches and historical structures including the likes of Normandy bridge, Saint Catherine's church, Notre dame de Grace and much more.
It's a place with all the usual comforts that tourists seek such as vibrant night life, cuisine and local culture without the crowds. This gem is definitely on my list of places to go back to. Do give it a try if you're in Normandy.

Honfleur in Normandy
📍Honfleur
🚘 About 2.5 hours from Paris
Honfleur is said to have been the largest port in the Middle Ages, although it is not now.
It rains often, so it is recommended to bring a raincoat!
It is famous for seafood, Camembert cheese, and Sird👍
💬Viking descendants live here,
and it is said that the French king, unable to withstand the Vikings' ferocity, gave them this place to settle down and live in order to silence them.
A resort town-like atmosphere
There are outdoor cafes and restaurants lined up around the port
“During the famous Hundred Years' War, France failed to protect this territory.
It was British territory in 1357 and 1419~1450. Afterwards, it prospered to the point of developing into one of the five major ports for the French slave trade.”

Three-day trip around Paris, come and get it
When people mention France 🇫🇷🇫🇷, the first thing that comes to mind is the 'City of Romance' Paris, but inseparable from it is a magical land called Normandy🇫🇷, with its charming coastline, picturesque villages, and rich historical culture, attracting a large number of tourists and scholars from all over the world🧑🏫 every year.
🥰🥰🥰Let's explore the enchanting sights of Normandy that you shouldn't miss!
1⃣️ Mont Saint-Michel
Perched on the tidal flats of the Bay of Saint-Malo, the phenomenon of becoming an island during high tide is called the eighth wonder of the world.
2⃣️ Monet's Gardens
The former home of Impressionist painter Monet, the garden mixes the most common and rarest flowers together, paired with colorful architectural decorations, as if you are in a painting.
3⃣️ Elephant Rock
A symbol of Normandy in France, deeply favored by artists and poets
4⃣️ Normandy Bridge
A cable-stayed bridge masterpiece spanning the Seine River, connecting Le Havre and Honfleur
5⃣️ Loire Valley Nature Reserve
Located in central France, famous for its numerous warm chateaus, vineyards, and picturesque villages, it is known as the garden of France.
6⃣️ Saint-Malo Old Town
Here you can find well-preserved medieval style, and the walls that were used to defend against pirates in ancient times are also one of the areas with the highest tides in the world.
Looking at the scenery through the car window🚗, the mountains, rivers, and lakes are also looking back at you🥰🥰🥰
Fine Dining in Honfleur
For the town of Honfleur, the most tourist-attracting spot is the area around The Vieux Bassin, or the old harbor. With the beautiful scenery of the harbor surrounded by ancient buildings from the 16th to 18th centuries, this area is home to numerous restaurants. However, when it comes to quality and taste compared to price, these establishments are quite touristy (meaning they tend to be overpriced and not very delicious). Therefore, for those who are serious about food but still don't want to venture far from the tourist areas, just walk past The Vieux Bassin a little further. On Rue de la Ville, just one block away, there is a collection of restaurants that are a notch more serious. Among them is Grain de Sel.
****-Location / Atmosphere-****
The restaurant is located on Rue de la Ville at the corner intersecting with Cours des Fosses. It's not hard to find on the map. The restaurant is divided into an indoor area and an outdoor section where you can sit and enjoy watching people. The outdoor area is covered with a roof and glass walls to protect against sun, rain, and cold, making it a chill place to sit in any season.
****-Ordered Menu-****
The menu here depends on the ingredients available each day, so they write it on a blackboard. We decided to try the following:
➡️ Paving of Swordfish with Pesto and Ratatouille – A large piece of swordfish with moderately crispy skin, fresh and firm flesh without any fishy smell, served with Ratatouille made from fresh and crunchy cauliflower and broccoli. We think the taste is a bit mild, but overall it's okay.
➡️ Pavé de selle d'agneau – Lamb meat with a rich gravy sauce, served with potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumbers sautéed with fragrant garlic. They go together quite well. The lamb meat is not very tender as it is a rather thick and lean cut from the hip, but it has no off-putting smell and is quite delicious. We prefer this dish over the previous one.
Honfleur
Honfleur is a town on the northern coast of Normandy, France. What makes it special is that it is a small town but has a lot of charm. It has famous buildings, including a church made entirely of wood, one of only two in France. It is also famous for producing wine and Cjdre at affordable prices. Tourists can walk around the town and choose to buy handmade souvenirs all day.
Notre Dame de Grace, Honfleur - France: A historical site with half an hour walk from the city. It is located in the mountain so we have to walk up by following the road to get there. Or you can also drive there but the road is quite small. This is a must to go if you visit Honfleur.
Wake me up is not a dream, but a rich breakfast. Most of the hotels in South France are fixed, and the buffet seems to be rare, but the fixed food is just baked, and the taste is better.
The boss heard that I especially liked Relais & Chteaux, and drove us in the yard with a battery car to explain the monuments in the hotel. No way, it is too big.
I saw no, that little bronze medal, like a flower, that is the symbol of the Relais & Chteaux hotel. Every time I see this little bronze medal, I will be very excited. Who makes me his true love powder.
There are three stone carvings in the hotel that were designed when the manor was built, so it has a history of more than three hundred years. More precious is that it has never been repaired, but it is intact.
Let's take a look at the other buildings. The walls are covered with a thick layer of ivy. From here, we can see that these buildings are really for some years, and the protection is so good, it is amazing.
