Hoi An Ancient Town: Lanterns and Timeless Charm
#chillandthrill
Hoi An is like a living postcard, with its colorful lanterns, narrow streets, and riverside charm. Walking through the ancient town feels like a step back in time, with traditional shophouses and historic temples at every turn. I loved stopping by little cafes for Vietnamese coffee and watching the world go by. At night, the lanterns light up the streets, and the whole place feels magical. Don’t miss the night market—it’s a treasure trove of local crafts, street food, and good vibes.

Millions silk lantern lights of Hoi An
Hoi An is a small charming town nearby Danang city. The main action there starts after sunset. Hoi An is famous for traditional silk lanterns that local lit at night. There are so many of the lights everywhere. The entire embankment, all the restaurants, every single boat is decorated with the lanterns... it feels like in a fairytale!
I took a boat ride after sunset, then went for a dinner at a place with a beautiful terrace, and then grabbed a drink while staring at the Riverside and watched all the lanterns in the boats.
Hoi An is a perfect place to buy souvenirs, try local food at the night market, and enjoy elegant atmosphere of this pretty town.

Mesmerizing ancient town, Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳✨
#ancienttown
Hoi An ancient town, renowned for its iconic architecture and vibrant cultural heritage which hold a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam. As a big fan of old town architecture, I made myself visit this famous and must visit place in Vietnam. The town is famous for its colorful lantern which add to the charm especially at night and you will find it in every corner of the city which makes this so iconic and one of a kind city.
Most of the architecture here are influenced by Japanese, Chinese and European style. This is reflected in its architecture and street layout which is so stunning!
There are so much activities to do there, including tailoring, cycling or even just have chill time at the cafe to witness the warm crowd at night.
As it is famous for its tailor shops where you can have custom clothing made by the tailor. I had my friend there do some custom clothing and they were feeling happy with the result 😄
And cycling is the top notch activity you should do during your stay in Hoi An. You can easily find a bicycle rental or you can get free bike rent at certain hotels. So you can make sure in advance to the hotel before you book it.
The best time to do cycling is during evening to sunset time and also at night. You will have so much fun during that time.
The best way to get there in my opinion, you need to fly to Da Nang City if you feel you are far away to take bus.
After you reach at Da Nang City, you could rent a motorbike and ride for around. 30 minutes. I suggest you to at least spend a night in Hoi An ti maximize your exploring in this worthy ancient town 🤩

Hoi An...I love you ❤️ The light of the western Venice❤️
If we talk about Vietnam, there must be many cities that are in the hearts of many people. Vietnam is a country that is easy to travel to. Most importantly, it is cheap. There are direct flights from many airlines. It is easy to book through Trip.com. The price is also very good.
For this trip, we chose to book with Trip.com and chose to land at Da Nang. Da Nang is a city with many tourist attractions. Another place that impressed us so much that we had to come back for the second time is this romantic city.
❤️Hoi An❤️ Hoi An is an old town that has been registered as a World Heritage Site. It is very romantic in Vietnam. We can say that we give it a full 10 points. The atmosphere of Hoi An Old Town during the day and at night is different.
✅If we talk about Hoi An during the day, we can't avoid the coffee shop. It is very cute and quiet. There is egg coffee, which is a famous coffee in Vietnam. In addition, the uniqueness is the old yellow building. Take a picture anywhere and it will look bright and beautiful. Cycling around is very beautiful.
✅ As for Hoi An at night, it is completely different. 1,000,000 are decorated with colorful lanterns. The riverside area is full of boats taking tourists to float lanterns with paper. The river at night is filled with beautiful lights from the lanterns, making it a beautiful sight that you can't help but raise your camera. It is worthy of being a world heritage city, nicknamed "City of Lantern".
Highlights:
❤️ Take a basket boat and spin until you're dizzy.
🛒 The most beautiful night market in Asia.
🎏 Floating lanterns in Vietnamese style.
🛌 Bali-style hotel with hostel prices. Very beautiful. Good price. You can book through Trip.com.
Cost per person: 3 days, 2 nights, approximately 3,000 baht.
Travel: Getting here from Da Nang Airport is very easy. You can use the green app to call a car to take you. The cost is very cheap, less than 1,000. It takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour from the airport. It is very convenient. In the morning, you can continue your trip to Da Nang.
If you have the opportunity to come to Da Nang, don't forget to visit this world heritage city.

How to spend a Perfect Day in 🏮Hoi An🏮
#citydaytours
It takes only 30 minutes from Da Nang by taxi 🚕
☕️Begin your day with a cup of egg coffee (or any other coffee you prefer) at Lanterns Cafe - Healthy Brunch.
🥥Visit the Cam Thanh Coconut Village village and enjoy a ride on a traditional basket boat.
💛Return to the Ancient Town to explore its charming streets, ancient architecture, and historical sites.
🌅Choose a restaurant with a view of the river and savor the sunset from the balcony on the second floor. Our option was Tiệm Cà Phê Nhà Mình, make sure to ask to be seated upstairs!
🛶Take a leisurely boat ride along the river.
‼️ Be mindful of candle wishes. While it’s popular to make wishes and release floating candles into the river, I don’t recommend it due to its negative impact on the environment. Many of these candles end up polluting the river.

Hoi An: A Living Poem Written in Light
Hoi An. Just the name whispers like a sigh carried on the evening breeze. It steals a piece of you, doesn't it? More than a town, it feels like a verse waiting to be written, a melody yet to be hummed. My favorite corner of Vietnam, and perhaps a haven sculpted specifically for the souls of poets.
The lanterns... oh, the lanterns. They bloom in the twilight like luminous flowers, casting a soft, ethereal glow on ancient walls that have witnessed centuries drift by. Each hue seems to hold a story, a whispered secret from a time long past. Walking these streets as dusk descends feels like stepping into a dream, a poem penned in light and shadow.
The old buildings stand with a quiet dignity, their weathered facades hinting at lives lived, stories etched in every tile and beam. They are silent witnesses to the ebb and flow of history, their stillness a stark contrast to the gentle murmur of the Thu Bon River nearby. You can almost hear the echoes of merchants and travelers, their voices mingling with the present-day cadence of life.
And the people... their smiles hold a warmth that settles deep within. There's a gentle spirit here, an unhurried grace that seems to emanate from the very soul of this place. You see it in the patient hands crafting silk, in the quiet conversations shared over steaming bowls of cao lầu.
Hoi An isn't just beautiful; it possesses a profound soul. It's a place where time seems to slow, inviting introspection, stirring emotions that often lie dormant in the rush of modern life. It's where the air itself feels thick with unspoken stories, where the culture isn't just observed, but felt. A melancholic beauty hangs in the air, a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of time, yet the enduring power of the human spirit.
If you listen closely enough, I swear you can hear the whispers of inspiration carried on the wind. Hoi An, you are a poem my heart will never stop writing. ✨🏮🇻🇳

Hoi An Vietnam
Hoi An is a very cute city with its unique identity throughout the city. The buildings and houses are bright mustard yellow, but it is also beautiful with the atmosphere of the old city that no matter where Got walks in the city, it looks beautiful. When visiting Hoi An, we will be able to relax in a slow-life style with shops such as restaurants, bars and cafes that hide their chicness under the old city scene smoothly. We will also learn about the culture and see the way of life of the fishing city up close by on a basket boat trip on this trip. I must say that after visiting Hoi An, many people will definitely fall in love with Hoi An.
How to travel to Hoi An Most people probably come from Da Nang because the airport with direct flights from Thailand to Vietnam and the closest to Hoi An is Da Nang. The main ways to travel are taking a shared bus, renting a private car or even calling Grab (but the price of Grab will be expensive and fluctuate according to the time like in our country). Now, how we will travel depends on the convenience and budget of each person. But if Got were to recommend This will recommend a private online booking because we can book the exact date and time without having to worry about finding a car at the event.
As for the highlight of the market, in addition to having a lot of things to sell, at the entrance before reaching the market, there will be a row of lantern shops. Each shop will bring lanterns to compete with each other, making most tourists like to stand and take pictures in front of the shop. Here, we can ask to take a picture with them. Props are ready, chairs are ready. Let me tell you that the picture will be beautiful and is considered a signature picture of Hoi An that you can't miss. For taking pictures at the lantern shop, the seller will charge us a little bit, around 15,000-20,000 dong (~20-30 baht).

Cute Café Serving Beautiful Coffee Art

📍Uncle Huan Coffee, Hoi An, Vietnam
Visited this beautiful little town Hoi An which is 45 minutes away from Danang city and stumbled across this coffee store. It is strategically located in Hoi An ancient town. The café has got the rustic old school vibes, love the seatings at the balcony overlooking the street! The unique selling point here is the meticulously crafted coffee art or pairing atop the coffee! It was just too pretty to be drinking it! We ordered their egg coffee and iced salted coffee which came in fantastic presentation, wish that the egg flavour could be stronger! Overall, great place for a cuppa and have a rest after walking around the ancient town area. Chill and cozy ambiance, beautiful spot to sit and enjoy!
