During my travels, I always made it a point to sample the local cuisine. In Hohhot, I came across a restaurant De le Hai that has been serving authentic Mongolian dishes for 20 years. The prices were reasonable, and the lamb and mutton dishes were exceptional. The lamb ribs were so tender that they fell off the bone, and the mutton was perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth. The restaurant had a beautiful ambiance, and the staff were welcoming and made an effort to accommodate English-speaking customers. Additionally, the clean restrooms were a plus. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance as the restaurant tends to get busy, and you may have to wait for a table for 2 hours or more without one.

If you have time, you can also visit Jiulong Bay, but you need to pay a parking fee of 10 yuan and an entrance fee. Then return to Red Stone Cliff by the original route. There is only one road in the scenic area, which can be driven directly to the exit. There are no obvious signs pointing to the exit. The further you go, the more you feel like you are in a no-man's land. At that time, there was no signal in the mountains, and I almost turned back. A five-minute walk to Shaomai Street, a taxi starting fare or a 15-minute walk to the famous Kuanzhai Alley (Hui Minority Food Street), and downstairs is Qingcheng Park. A commercial street similar to Beijing's Xidan is also within walking distance. Besides convenience, I don't know how else to describe it. Let's talk about the hotel experience first.
