When you think of Korean beef, Hoengseong comes to mind, so it is a region famous for Korean beef, so I thought any Korean beef restaurant would be above average, but I went there twice more after my first visit because it was a Korean beef restaurant certified by the Hoengseong County Governor. The restaurant exterior and interior had a better atmosphere than I thought, and the tables were large and spacious, so I was very satisfied! The Korean beef was in good condition, and the special cuts were delicious, so I recommend it. #Ski resort #Winter travel Welli Hilli Park, which is not far from Seoul, was even better to visit! What was especially good was that there were various snowboarding wear designs that could be rented within the resort. Thanks to that, I took a lot of pictures with my board and clothes matching.

#HotPlace#Taekisan Taekisan in the middle of winter with snow was so beautiful! Taekisan, located in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, is said to be the highest mountain in Hoengseong-gun with a height of 1,261m. I drove to a certain height, so the actual climbing time was not long:) When I visited after the snow fell, the entire landscape was pure white, and wind turbines were running, and even the sanggodae (snow flowers) blooming on the trees... It was such a spectacular view that I was ecstatic😍 There is a KBS transmission station and a military base at the top of Taegisan, so there is a road. You can just go up along this road. #summervacay Checked out Eodapsan and it totally delivered on those peaceful mountain vibes. It’s not one of those super popular spots, which honestly made it even better. The trail was calm, surrounded by trees most of the way, and it had this cozy, untouched feel, like the mountain was just minding its own business. The hike up wasn’t too wild, just a steady climb that got the heart pumping. Near the summit, things started opening up and the views were awesome, layers of mountains, a bit of fog rolling in, and that fresh, crisp air that makes you wanna take a deep breath and just exist. The top didn’t have huge crowds or loud groups, which made it feel super chill. Brought some snacks and hung out on a rock with the clouds floating around, total zen moment. Eodapsan might not be the flashiest mountain in Gangwon-do, but if you're into quiet hikes and scenic peaks, this one’s a hidden gem. Definitely going back in the fall!

#summervacay Took a chill hike up Unmusan in Hongcheon and it was nothing but good vibes. The trail kicks off nice and easy, with soft forest paths and tons of birdsong, seriously felt like nature was putting on a soundtrack just for me. It’s one of those hikes where you don’t really rush, you just wander and breathe. There were some foggy patches near the top (fitting for a mountain with “cloud” in the name), and it gave everything this moody, peaceful vibe. The climb isn’t too intense, but enough to get the blood flowing. Not a lot of people around either, so it felt like I had the mountain to myself. At the summit, the view peeked through the mist, layers of mountains fading into the distance. Just sat there for a while, snacking and taking it all in. Total zen moment. If you’re near Hongcheon and looking for a lowkey hike with high chill factor, Unmusan is absolutely worth the steps.

#summervacay Checked out Hoengseong Lake Trail Track #5 and it was such a mellow, feel-good walk. Not really a “hike” hike, more like a peaceful stroll with some seriously pretty lake views. The path is super manageable, no crazy climbs, just smooth walking with nature doing its thing all around you. There were trees everywhere, birds doing their little songs, and the lake peeking through the leaves every so often. It’s one of those places where you don’t need music, the vibe just kinda carries you. A few benches along the way too, perfect for water breaks and zoning out. I saw a couple of locals just taking their sweet time, and honestly, I matched the energy. Took a bunch of random photos, snacked by the water, and just enjoyed the calm. If you’re in Hoengseong and want a super chill nature fix without breaking a sweat, Trail #5 is where it’s at. Low effort, high reward.

On the way back to Seoul from Gangneung, I stopped by **Hoengseong Rest Stop (Seoul direction)**. I originally wanted to eat Yamsem Gimbap, but unfortunately, it was closed, so I had tteokbokki instead. Still, the interior of the rest stop was clean and tidy overall, so I was able to stay there in a pleasant mood. The food corner was also relatively well-organized, and the tteokbokki was not spicy and had just the right amount of seasoning, so it was delicious. Anywhere you look at the open windows, it's full of healing🌿 Since many people travel to Gangwon-do in the winter, this is the accommodation I stayed at while traveling to Gangwon-do! It's a 360-pyeong independent accommodation that can accommodate only one team privately, and the accommodation is spacious, so it's a good place to use with family or friends. The best thing is that, as shown in the video, there are large windows in every space, so you can feel nature as it is. It's really great. I visited on a snowy day and looked out the window, and the view was so pretty that I could drink tea and just look at it, and it was so nice to feel completely relaxed. 🫶🏻 The accommodation has an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, so you can take a warm half-body bath even on cold days, and there is an indoor barbecue area, so you don't have to worry about meat smells coming into the accommodation, and you can feel like you're camping warmly, so it was perfect❤️ If you're tired from living a busy life, it's good to travel around tourist attractions, but I recommend taking a full day off at the accommodation!
