Hitchin is a beautiful historic market town which oozes with class and sophistication. There are so many beautiful tourist sights and to attend the historic market is a must. It is situated in a lovely area of Hertfordshire in South Anglia and the Queen Mother was born there. Although my visit to Hitchin Lavender was a few weeks ago, I still want to let everyone know that they should absolutely visit on a sunny day. Just a quick side note: the entry fee was a reasonable price, and there was plenty of free parking available on the site. The moment I entered, I loved it. The lavenders had all fully bloomed when I went, and the sight of all the flowers was such a blissful moment—not to mention how amazing it smelled! In addition to the lavender, there were also sunflowers. There was a snack stand and also a gift shop, and there were mini souvenirs to buy. There was also an option to pick your own lavenders and sunflowers (at a cost, of course), which was a great option as this is not offered everywhere. I would definitely recommend this place for a day out or a mini photoshoot, if that’s what anyone is into.

Personally, I picked a small amount to use as a prop for photography, and it added a special touch to my pictures. Inside the farm, there's a cafe that offers a range of lavender-infused food. Grab a cup of purple ice cream, pose in front of the lavender fields, and you'll have the perfect Instagram shot! TIPS: The lavender looks most beautiful from mid-July to mid-August! And early August is the best time to see the sunflowers in full bloom! This farmstay can be quite a unique experience as you wake up to beautiful lavender fields and fresh air. The owners are all family and are super friendly and welcoming. We were offered scones and lots of jams to try too. There is also a shop where you can buy a variety of products made from lavender or even the lavender itself! Very memorable.
