Kuzuryu Shrine offers beautiful scenery and can be visited together with the Kuzuryu Waterfall above the shrine. Although the shrine is small, it exudes a sense of divinity. At the top of the entrance stairs, next to the torii gate, stands a magnificent cedar tree. About a six-minute walk from the shrine, there is an inn where you can purchase goshuin (shrine stamps) and amulets. You can buy goshuin at the shrine office, but it is a bit far from the shrine, so it's best to check in advance. If you look out from the bus, you might see the sign for the shrine office. If you start from the bus stop, you need to climb a slope to reach the shrine, but if you walk down the slope for a few minutes, you will find the shrine office.

A beautiful place, you can continue along the therapeutic path paved with wood chips after coming out of the visitor center. The slope is very gentle and easy to walk until you reach Takimi Bridge, where the view of Mitou Great Falls is right in front of you. Crossing Takimi Bridge, you can admire the 30-meter-high Mitou Great Falls. The waterfall was bigger than I imagined. I felt it was about the same size as Hosawa Falls. I was already very tired just getting there. The path was covered with wood chips, which is good for safety, but I didn't find it an easy place to walk.

Mitsutoge Bridge is a great place for fitness. The route is generally easy to walk, but some parts are too narrow to pass each other. Be careful as the foundation in some areas may be slippery. The temperature was too high to see the distant scenery, but there are several viewpoints besides the summit of Mizuyama, and if the air is clear, you can even see Mount Fuji and Tokyo Bay. Mitsutoge Otaki Waterfall is notable for its water volume and height difference. Transfer to a bus at Musashi-Itsukaichi Station. The first bus in the morning does not connect well, and you have to wait about forty minutes after the train arrives at the station. Therefore, on good hiking days, there may be a queue.

Nestled under the vast expanse of the open sky, we enjoyed a hearty BBQ dinner right beside our tent. The crackling fire, the aroma of grilled delicacies, and the serene sounds of the forest created a magical ambiance that felt both adventurous and comforting. Staying at Mieux Forest allowed us to fully embrace the tranquility of the Mount Odake region. The crisp autumn air and the canopy of colorful leaves provided a perfect setting for relaxation and reflection after a day of exploration. Sleeping under the stars, we felt a profound connection to nature, making the night truly special. Our trip to the Mount Odake area was a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and outdoor adventure.
