I went to Hama no Yu, a restaurant located right next to the sea in Izu Inatori. I heard that HIKAKIN has been there too... It takes about 3 hours from Tokyo if the roads are not congested. You can enjoy the hot springs while looking at the sea from the rooms with open-air baths. I was able to use the baths even in the rain without any problems. The large public bath also had a large open-air bath with a beautiful view. For dinner, we had a big boat-shaped dish and the specialty, boiled golden-eyed snapper. It was so much food that you couldn't believe your eyes lol We had a boat-shaped dish for breakfast too lol I was very satisfied because I was able to enjoy a lot of very fresh seafood. We went to Izu Hotel Resort & Spa, which has one of the best views of any hotel in Japan♪ The view of the infinity hot springs from the top of the hills of Izu Kogen is one of a kind! "Atagawakan" located in Atagawa, Izu is an older hot spring hotel in Izu. The sea view rooms where you can directly see the sea in the room attract many people to come here specially. The lobby of a traditional hot spring hotel is also very grand. The high-ceiling design makes full use of the sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the Japanese-style table and chair space serves as a cafe for daytime relaxation. ‍‍‍There is a fixed souvenir shop on one side of the hotel. Most of the snacks on display are specialties produced in Shizuoka Prefecture. Many of the snacks are the same as the snack trays provided to guests in the guest rooms. Izu Bousui: A Healing Experience | Stunning Views The highlight of this trip was Izu, without a doubt. We booked Izu Bousui Onsen Ryokan, and the views and private bath experience were amazing. Scenery The lobby has huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a 270-degree view of the sea. The sunset is stunning. Even though I had seen many photos online, seeing it in person was still breathtaking. Every photo was amazing. Outside the window is the vast Pacific Ocean, and the view changes with the sunlight throughout the day, with sparkling waves. Private Bath We chose a premium private bath (90 mins) and got a free regular private bath (50 mins). The premium private bath we chose was "AO NO IZANAI." It was an amazing experience with a wide view of the Pacific Ocean. We chose the time slot from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, before sunset, but the blue scenery was also beautiful. The hotel also provided various drinks to enjoy, and the 90 mins were enough to heal the fatigue of the journey. Even though I had seen many photos, experiencing it in person was still amazing! The regular private bath we chose was "AO NO IZANAI." Overall, the bath was relatively small, and the view was not as wide (180-degree view of the sea), and the drinks provided were relatively limited. But honestly, the regular private bath experience was also great! If we had experienced the regular one first, we would have been just as amazed. We chose the time slot from 8:10 am to 9 am, and the sun was quite strong. If you want to see the sunrise, I suggest going earlier. Meals We chose the standard one-night, two-meal plan. Dinner was kaiseki cuisine, which was quite standard, with various fish and meat, but it didn't seem very fresh. However, there were many options, and we were full. Breakfast was rich and varied, and we were quite satisfied. If you have high expectations for meals, you can choose to pay extra for more advanced cuisine when booking. Snacks Snacks and drinks in the lobby are free to take. We had the best sweet potato fries of our lives on this trip. They were really delicious! We could have been full just from eating these. When we were leaving, we found that the small shop also sold them! We regretted not taking a few more bags! Later, when we returned to Tokyo, we saw similar fried dough sticks, but they didn't taste as good as the ones in Izu. They were crispier and not as sweet. Overall, we loved them. Izu's specialty orange juice is also available for free, and it tastes good. Transportation The hotel provides a free shuttle bus from Izu Atagawa Station, a 10-minute drive, which is very convenient. As soon as I stepped into this quiet place, my heart was completely conquered! Every brick and tile reveals a Japanese style, as if traveling through time and space, I came to ancient Kyoto. | Facing the sea, colliding with dreams. Because of a photo of the sunset, I decisively booked Ginsuiso and was filled with anticipation for the trip to Izu. We took the Izu Kyuko Line to Inatori Station (Figure 13) and then walked to the hotel. On one hand, we didn't have much luggage, and on the other, I like to walk around and explore unfamiliar environments. (If you have a lot of luggage or don't want to walk, you can take the shuttle bus provided by the hotel at the entrance of Inatori Station; if you can't find the shuttle bus, you can contact the hotel, and they will arrange a vehicle to pick you up, the latest by 7 PM). Opening the door to the room felt like stepping into the world of Hayao Miyazaki (Figures 2-9): Japanese-style tones, tatami mats, and a full view of the sea, so beautiful it felt unreal!
