My recent trip to the Hengdian World Studio was nothing short of amazing. This massive film studio complex is a true wonder and offers a unique and fascinating insight into the world of Chinese cinema. As soon as I stepped through the gates, I was transported to a world of fantasy and adventure. The studio is massive and features a diverse range of backdrops, from ancient Chinese villages to futuristic sci-fi sets. One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the Western set, which featured an authentic Old West town complete with saloons, banks, and even a jailhouse. It was incredible to see how much attention to detail had gone into creating such a realistic and immersive environment. Guangzhou and Hong Kong street

I enjoyed walking through the streets, enjoying some of the food and buying some lipstick and hand cream from a cute little shop and the lady there was super friendly. I had delicious dinner at one of the restaurants and for dessert I got the best strawberry soft serve ice cream ever! Getting There - Just type it into the Didi and it will take you straight to the entrance. Attractions - I would suggest to go in the evening then the place comes too life and it looks totally different with all the lights on. You can take beautiful pictures there and they add you to a we chat gtoup at the entrance to tell you what, when and where it's happening. Food & Restaurants - I had the best strawberry ice cream from the ice cream shop there. There's also restaurants where you can sit down and have nice dinner after all the walking. Shopping - There are shops that you can browse and buy gifts or memorabilias.

Spring and Autumn Garden Hengdian Studio

I loved walking in this beautiful park with bursts of color everywhere. You can walk or take a bicycle to get around the park. Getting There - You can take a Didi that will drop you at the front of the gate. Attractions - Beautiful scenic park with loads of bright buildings. You can stroll around and take beautiful pictures in this park. Hotels - A lot of hotels around Hengdian to oick and choose according to your requirements. Food & Restaurants - There are snack stands where you can buy something to eat. Shopping - There's no shops but there's water machines to get water if you're thirsty.

Hengdian World Studios

I really liked Hengdian Studios! Take your time to explore and enjoy the pop up shows, decor amd architecture. It feels like a different world, walking around all these beautiful spots. Getting There - It's easy to get around. Although the studios are scattered around, you can just get a Didi to take you to the different studios. Attractions - There's a lot to see and it's big...I would recommend you take two days if you want to do it at a leisurely pace. I squeezed all of them into one day...it's doable but then you are rushed. Hotels - There's a lot of hotels around Hengdian that you can choose according to your own preferences. Food & Restaurants - There's snack stalls where you can buy something to eat and drink. Shopping - You have to go through a shop to exit the attraction where you can buy memorabilias.

Hengdian World Studios - The New Yuanmingyuan Palace 180 rmb - the place is so huge. there were no shows to watch. maybe it is best to go there during summer because they have summer activities. I noticed there were only a very few people going around. There is only one entrance and you have to exit the same way. #urbanexplorer #leaveyourmark

Hengdian World Studios - Guangzhou & Hongkong Streets 160 rmb - a little bit expensive but i was surprised how the price was totally worth it eventhough they open at 1pm to 8pm. I was there after 1pm walking around and was thinking why i paid such a big amount when the views are normal. Please check the schedule of their shows. I liked the gun fight and the magic show. I did not like the show where they were using a jetski and there is a boat of pirates i think. BONUS: this is what made me realize why it was really worth it. At night, the place just totally changes and it becomes so nice and lively! Watch the last or prime time show! They start the show at the streets and they go around in different spots with a story. I visited Hengdian World Studio ‘Palace of Emperor Qin’ and I was impressed with the architectural structure of the palace. The ground is huge and I spent 1.5 hours exploring the site including watching the coronation of the emperor performance. Costumes are available for rent where visitors can dressed up for picture taking mimicking their favourite film stars I.e Miyue 羋月 Many popular Chinese dramas were filmed here. As I am a fan of ancient costume dramas, I am glad to have the chance to step on the site where some scenes were filmed. Hengdian comprises of more than 10 studios but unfortunately I only managed to spend half day at this attraction while enroute to Hangzhou. To cover all the studios, perhaps will need to allocate at least 3-5 days as the studios are spread across the town and some sites are only open in the afternoon. #tripaway Every individual spots is very huge and Lots of walking is expected. We saw few films shooting at sites. There are a few number of sites and can be far apart. However, there are many shuttle buses can bring you around at RMB 1. Be prepared that food will be expensive in Hengdian especially in the tourist spot site compare to China living standard as the town is a tourism place. #tripaway

#tripaway This American style amusement park is a very good surprise for tourists visiting HENGDIAN. They have many different attractions for all ages, and a huge Ferris wheel.They also have two shows at the end of the day, one at 7 pm and other at 8 pm. Both of them are worth seeing.Be prepared for many, many people inside the park. #tripaway

The Qin Palace here is a scent of many film and television dramas. Must Visit for C-Drama Fans - Hollywood of China

I have been watching c-dramas for years and this year I have finally visited Hengdian - the hollywood of China. As of 2024, there is still no bullet train to go to Hengdian directly. For this trip, I have availed a day bus tour from Hangzhou. The total shooting location we visited is 3 shooting location. I initially thought the place would be like a theme park where everything is walkable inside the location. However, most of the location are quite far from each other and the best way to travel is via car. My favorite shooting area would have been the replica of Forbidden City. After visiting the area, I have better appreciation to the hard working staff and actor of cdrama. #hengdianworldstudios #hengdian #100waysoftravel

#cherryblossom2024 🌸 Hengdian is really at the next level Rebuild the Old Summer Palace!! I have been to Hengdian three times, but it's my first time entering the Old Summer Palace. The newly reconstructed Old Summer Palace, which costs 30 billion yuan, is already good enough. I can't imagine how stunning the original one would be. The Old Summer Palace is divided into four garden areas: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, which were in the garden last spring and summer. Various gardens and European style architecture, a certain distance in your lifetime!

A DAY AS AN EXTRA IN HENGDIAN WORLD STUDIOS

Hengdian World Studios located in a city named Dongyang, Zhejiang Province is dubbed as one of the largest film studios in the world. It will be best to spent more days in the town of Hengdian if you would like to visit all the 7 scenic spots. As it was only a day trip for us, we only managed to visit The Palace of Emperor Qin 秦王宫。The single ticket is CN190/person, but if you planned to visit more than 1 scenic spot, it is advisable to purchase their combo ticket. They offered quite a number of activities where you can participate. You can play dress up in traditional costumes and try the flying cables like what you see in the dramas. Or you can even be the "Emperor" or "Empress". Many families and youngsters would take the opportunity to dress up and take photograph with the sceneries the studio has to offer. We joined their 3D Flying Theatre but I came out feeling nauseous 😅. It was amazing seeing all the different buildings of the world in one place! It was an out of the world experience! I loved every moment of it it felt like around the world tour in one day. Getting There - You can just take a Didi to get around Hengdian...They will drop you off at the gate of the studio. Attractions - Each and every building is unique and special...the replicas are on point! The studio is big...I took an electric scooter around the studio. You can choose..walking, cycling or electric. Do watch a show while you are there it is worth it! Food & Shopping- There is shop and snack stands at the entrance where you can buy something if necessary. Around the park.are water vending machines.

Hengdian World Studios is massive. It’s unbelieveable! The Qing and Ming Palaces are the exact replica of the Forbidden City in Beijing. its mind-blowing, considering the size of it. the only thing thats missing here is the portrait of Chairman Mao. if youre a fan of Chinese movies and soap operas, this is your paradise. You’ll surely recognise many of the locations and I am pretty sure you will be able to run into a film/tv shooting.
