Greenland Northern Lights
#fallingseason
Do you know September is actually one of the best period for catching northern lights?
Not too cold and better weather with clear sky. Also not the peak tourist season.
I went to Ilulissat in Greenland and joined a 2 Day 1 Night camping expedition. I followed the guide and hike to a view of beautiful glacier. At the night we saw very beautiful northern lights.
It’s a bit tough and challenging during the night as it was quite windy. But I would say it was totally worth it!!

Greenland is the world's largest island, located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. Seafood is a big part of Greenlandic food.Fish and shellfish from Greenland are incredibly delicious. As they are cold-water fish, they grow slowly, giving the meat a unique texture. Great food fish include trout, salmon, cod, redfish and Greenland halibut.

Staying in a lower deck cabin won't stop me from going on an adventure in Greenland.
Clickbait! I stayed in a lower deck cabin, but the price of an Arctic cruise to Greenland is still over 100,000 yuan. Staying in a lower deck cabin means no spacious balcony, but through the porthole, I could see the huge icebergs outside receding, and my heart was filled with even stronger emotions, as if I were Jack from Titanic.
Simply photographing Iceland no longer satisfies my love for the polar regions. I clearly remember that Iceland's Vatnajökull Glacier is said to be the largest glacier in Europe, while Greenland's glaciers are more than ten times larger, and most of them flow directly into the sea. So I wanted to see what it was like, to see what kind of scene the Titanic encountered back then.
Eqi Glacier is a very active glacier in Greenland, flowing directly into the sea. So when the ship sails near it, you will encounter a lot of icebergs and ice floes. This was my first time experiencing the charm of icebergs at sea in Greenland.

Arctic Greenland - The stunning wilderness of the ice field.
Today, our Arctic Greenland Island tour continues, ushering in another day full of adventure and surprises. In the early morning, our research vessel arrived at the northeast corner of Milne Fjord. The scenery here is still magnificent, with the tranquil sea reflecting the snow-covered mountains, as if we have entered a quiet ice and snow wonderland.
Next, we took a speedboat to an unnamed small island, which is far away from the world, as if it is a corner forgotten by time. Standing on this unexplored land, we felt the chill of the Arctic wind and the solemnity of the wilderness. The island is full of low vegetation and exposed rocks, and in the distance are the figures of glaciers and icebergs. Although the environment seems desolate, every step seems to be a silent dialogue with nature.
We walked along the coastline, and every scene in front of us was shocking. Although there are no signs and traces of artificial carving here, it makes people feel pure beauty. Along the way, everyone sometimes stopped to take photos, and sometimes stared blankly into the distance - this kind of solitude with nature is the most fascinating part of Arctic exploration.
Although we did not encounter any wild animals today, this journey is still full of endless exploration fun. Every corner of this unnamed small island is silently telling the story of the Arctic. This set of photos, I would like to share with you this pure and shocking from the polar region!

Greenland
Greenland is the world's largest island, located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, with its own government and parliament. Greenland is known for its stunning landscapes, including vast ice fields, fjords, and tundra, as well as a small population primarily composed of Inuit peoples. It's also a significant area of interest due to climate change impacts on its ice sheet and its strategic geopolitical position.

Expedition to the North Pole, in the scoresbysund fjord in eastern Greenland, fortunately meet the world's stunning Northern Lights, towering peaks, magnificent glaciers, along the Milne land, cruising on a rubber boat, hiking on the Danish island, and going around The world, don't forget Greenland.
Akureyli in the north of Iceland, here is the beautiful Eyjafjordur fjord in Iceland. The Rembrandt sailboat just crossed the Danish Strait from the Arctic Greenland and returned to the fjord. In the morning, the twilight rises to illuminate the sky, and the beautiful snow-capped mountains tower into the sky. The clouds, and the Icelandic herders at the foot of the mountain, return to the excitement of the world, the beauty is like heaven.
The volcanic rocks of the Arctic, the vikingbugt of the scoresbysund fjord in Greenland, are far from the ordinary mountains. When our rubber boats approached, they found a specific shape, which is very joint. This is the coagulation of volcanic lava after eruption. Cooling, into a hexagonal lens, through the movement of the earth's crust to form like pasta, also known as the noodle mountain, you can see the traces of crustal movement at that time. Time is long, we are only a short passer.
On the sixth day of Greenland, we continued our journey to the Arctic. Our sailboats continued all the way north, meeting a huge iceberg, and the two together were so beautiful that it was a magical work of nature, and the sun fell from the ice cave. Light, sea, snowy mountains in the distance, ice floes in the sea, cold and warm pictures, very Arctic, very Greenland.
The fifth day of the Arctic sailboats Greenland scoresbysund fjord, to cross an open sea, our century-old sailing Rembrandt is a little shaken in the big waves, the next stop is the ice floe fjordbugt Viking Bay, see the sea along the way Icebergs, different types of ice floes, blue ice is because there are bubbles in the ice, forming blue in the light, as if to the frozen blue world, the snowy mountains in the distance, the wide sea, the cold temperatures, starting one side Despair and hopeful state.
Its fortunate to see the Northern Lights flying in the sky. In the worlds largest island, Greenland, we watch the Aurora on the Centennial Rembrandt, and the Aurora goddess Aurora changes in the sky and dances from behind the mountains. Gradually spread the entire sky, illuminate the fjord waters, then disappear, and then slowly appear. Every time the aurora appears, the sun particles hit the earth's magnetic field, and you must see an aurora in your life. Yourself.
Erha in the Arctic Circle, a small town in the eastern part of Greenland, ITTOQQORTOORMIIT, with a population of less than 300 people, inhabited by Inuit people, the dogs broke the tranquility of the valley and fjord, the owner They began to feed them with seal meat. They used to need dog sledding. Now they have snowmobiles. These dogs have become companions for human beings. In the extremely cold world, they bring a lot of vitality.
Greenland is the world's largest island and a pure land of humanity. Take a hundred years of sailing on the Rembrandt in the eastern fjord of Greenland to see the aurora, on foot, sea cruises, beautiful places on earth, the sky is immaculate, the air is cold but sweet.
Nothing is more romantic and more sensational than riding a sailboat in the pure world of ice and snow in the arctic earth, admiring a magnificent sea sunset.
In the vast world of ice and snow in Greenland, sailing on a sailing boat, like a brave sailor, explore this unknown world. Until sunset, as the golden sunset gradually descends, the water is covered with golden light, and the whole person is immersed in a warm and romantic atmosphere.
With this gorgeous sunset scene, even if you are in this snow and ice legend, still feel warm and inviting, it makes people feel inexplicable.
