The Alhambra Palace in Spain
When people talk about Spanish palaces, they might think of the Royal Palace in Madrid. However, those who have been to Spain would know that the Alhambra Palace is the one truly worth visiting.
Located in the small town of Granada in southern Spain, the Alhambra Palace was left behind from the period when Spain was ruled by the Arab Moors. For someone from East Asia, who is completely unfamiliar with the Arab world, visiting for the first time is truly overwhelming.
The palace is situated on a hill, offering a panoramic view of the entire area below. Make a special trip to Granada to see the Alhambra. I've been there three times! And I would still want to go back if I get the chance. 🤣
Additionally, one of the unique features of Granada is that you get free tapas when you order wine or drinks.

1829 Little Palace Apartment B&B, the first choice for accommodation in Granada
#民宿 #100 ways to travel
1829 Little Palace, I came to Granada on a free trip to Spain. Because it was a family trip, for the comfort of my stay, I especially found this spacious apartment B&B. It is located in the center of Granada, within walking distance of the Alhambra Palace. Reachable.
The apartment is spacious, with a two-story layout, three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining area, and a balcony for washing and drying clothes. The space for activities is large, and the elders are particularly happy to live there.
The owner is quite tasteful. The decoration and furniture of the apartment are very tasteful. The small kitchen is equipped with an IH stove, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, a microwave, and all the pots, bowls and tableware. You can cook by yourself. Problem, there is also a washing machine and a balcony for drying clothes.
Before the epidemic, staying in the entire apartment cost only about NT$7,000 per night, which is a very good deal! Even for airport pick-up, you can ask the owner to call a car for pick-up and drop-off, and the service is very considerate.

Memories of the Alhambra: Granada’s Moorish Palace
#palace #100 ways to travel
Because of the Korean drama "Memories of Alhambra" starring Won Bin, this royal palace built by the Spanish Moorish dynasty #Alhambra Palace has become popular among Asian tourists and is a must-see when traveling to Granada. Pilgrimages, especially the Palacios Nazaríes, are hard to get tickets for, even more so than concert tickets!
Alhambra, which means the Red Castle in Arabic, was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1984 and witnessed the glorious period of Islamic culture.
The Alhambra covers a large area, and the entire palace complex can be divided into four major areas to visit: Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Generalife Gardens, Carlos V Palace and surrounding areas Area Palacio de Carlos V & Around.
The Islamic-style palace architecture is really beautiful. The reflection of the Moorish palace reflected in the garden pool is so beautiful that it cannot be seen from a distance. From the pillars, walls to beams, everything is exquisitely crafted and magnificent. The Palacio de los Leone, surrounded by 12 lions, is the most gorgeous area in the Nasr Palace.
Climbing the tower of Alcaja Castle, you can overlook the cityscape of Granada. The white buildings on the top of the hill are quite spectacular. There are also beautiful Generalife gardens, which are like entering Alice's Wonderland. It is well worth the time. Enjoy it slowly the previous day.

The Home of Alhambra Palace
While the alhambra palace is the main highlight of a Granada tour for most tourists. I, having stayed and experienced much more in the form of day trips and other sights in town, would even recommend alhambra for a longer than the usual night or two. For instance, you should definitely visit St. Nicholas, it gives an amazing view of the city and one of the most romantic sites in Europe.
How would you like to see a flamenco show inside a cave? Yes, I did that in Granada. Walk through the hills opposite the Alhambra. This gives stunning views of the moorish castle and surrounding areas. Also, these hills have some beautiful little streets, and tiny little plazas with tapas bars, street musicians and dogs. You could fall in love with Spain walking through these hills, and the best place to be at sunset, is right at the top. Lastly, Granada's location allows you the luxury of easy access to rest of Andalusia. The epic scenery, the good food and so many options is all the more reason to stay in Granada.

Queen of Spain flower💘
I'm so tired of this place.. I keep thinking about it...
The flower of Spain. You have to go there without fail!
📍Granada Alhambra Palace
Forget about buying tickets when you go..
You have to make a reservation in advance to avoid risks!
#You can make a reservation 3 months in advance
🔻Integrated ticket 19.09 euros
🔻Generalife Gardens 10.61 euros
🔻Nasrid Palaces 10.61 euros
We bought a combined ticket!
Wow... We left at dawn (the sky was really blue at dawn) and after we went around,
the sunlight was shining brightly. It was so cold in the morning
I went there shivering, but here... . The weather seems to be very important.
If only the weather is good... .
No matter where or how you take a picture, it's all spectacular... .
It's so big that there are so many places to see, but you have to keep walking! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
There are Spanish-style buildings here and there.
They are hidden photo spots!
The details on the walls are so detailed that I could say they are disgusting.
I wondered how they made this 100 times.
There are many rooms and palaces.
If you have time, take a tour.
I personally think it would be good to go around on your own!
I thought that taking a tour would take a long time and you might get a little tired?!
I think it would be good to take a self-guided tour if you take your time taking pictures and looking around here and there.
#Please share this a lot with your friends who want to go to the Alhambra Palace! If you share, you will definitely go💘

Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula
Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula is a beautiful and historic hotel located in the heart of Granada, just a short walk from some of the city's most famous landmarks, including the Alhambra and the Cathedral.
The hotel occupies a stunning 16th-century palace that has been carefully restored to its former glory, with elegant arches, intricate tile work, and soaring ceilings that transport you back in time. The common areas are full of character and charm, with comfortable seating areas and beautiful artwork that reflect the hotel's rich history and cultural heritage.
My room at Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula was spacious and well-appointed, with classic decor that complemented the hotel's historic architecture. The bed was comfortable and the linens were luxurious, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
The bathroom was also impressive, with marble floors and walls, a large bathtub, and high-end toiletries that added to the overall sense of luxury and indulgence.
One of the standout features of Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula is its stunning courtyard, which is a true oasis of peace and tranquility in the heart of the city. The courtyard is full of lush greenery and bubbling fountains, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing.
Overall, my experience at Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula was exceptional. The hotel's historic charm and character, combined with its prime location in the heart of Granada, make it the perfect place to stay for anyone looking to experience the city's rich cultural heritage. I highly recommend Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience in Granada.#marriott

Alhambra Palace | A Love Letter to Moorish Architecture
"No city is like Granada, with its elegance and smile, its shimmering Eastern charm, spreading under the clear sky."
- Victor Hugo
Colorful Granada is located in the Andalusia region in southern Spain. The collision and fusion of Roman, Moorish, and Jewish cultures in the river of history have given birth to the brilliant culture unique to Granada.
Here is also the filming location for "Game of Thrones" and the Korean drama "Memories of the Alhambra".
The Alhambra turns stones into poetry, a love letter to Moorish architecture, and a magnificent paradise on earth.
The Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain is magnificent, serving as both a palace and a castle, as well as a well-constructed garden and a military fortress during the "Reconquista". Built 700 years ago, this red palace still occasionally makes headlines in European newspapers, and is considered the most perfect architectural model from ancient Rome to the present day, adding a unique charm to the European continent.

Magnificent Alhambra in Granada
Background information ℹ️: Granada is one of the important and ancient cities in Andalusia in Spain. The Alhambra is a palace and fortress combined with beautiful Islamic architecture and decorations.
Apart from the typical arch one can see in the beautiful buildings, the restaurants, lamps, writings are also full of Arabic flavour. Within Alhambra you can easily find Arabic calligraphy and decorations.
The lookout of Alhambra requires a ticket and it can be sold out before its closing time, so it is advised that one arrives in the morning.

[Europe][Spain] Granada and the famous Alhambra
Granada is home to the famous monument Alhambra. The Alhambra is vast in size and I recommend allowing sufficient time. There are also a lot of other tourist attractions in Granada. I recommend Monasterio Cartuja Granada. It is a bit further away from the city centre, not as crowded as most tourist attractions, and the architecture is very fine.

The Alhambra
The Alhambra was a place, a citadel, fortress, and the home of Nasrid sultans, high government officials, servants of the court and elite soldiers (from the 13th to the 14th century). Today, the monument is divide into four main areas: The Palaces, the military zone or Alcazaba, the city or Medina and the agricultural estate of the Generalife. All of these areas are surrounded by woods, gardens and orchards.

A wonderful trip to Alhambra, Granada
Located jn Granada, Spain, Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex. It has always been our dream destination as it is one of the most famous palaces of the historic Islamic world.
We flew in to Malaga and took a 2-hour bus to Granada for a day trip.
Granada is smaller but more touristy than Malaga so the price of accommodation is slightly more expensive.
However, if you want to spend a few days exploring Granada, it will be better to stay here.
Do check out the official website of The Alhambra before visiting so you can be sure of the opening hours. It is also important to make up your mind of what do you want to visit, as there are different prices for different places (fortress or place or garden). The combo tickets are reasonable if you have plenty of time in hands. #bucketlistreboot #passionpassport

The Beauty of Alhambra!
The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It is one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture.
It reflects the tradition of Moorish architecture developed over previous centuries. It is characterized by the use of the courtyard as a central space and basic unit around which other halls and rooms were organized. Courtyards typically had water features at their center, such as a reflective pool or a fountain.
Decoration was focused on the inside of the building and was executed primarily with tile mosaics on lower walls and carved stucco on the upper walls. Geometric patterns, vegetal motifs, and Arabic inscriptions were the main types of decorative motifs. Additionally, "stalactite"-like sculpting, known as muqarnas, was used for three-dimensional features like vaulted ceilings
Getting There - You can take one of the red minibuses called Alhambra Bus, routes C30 or C32. They leave every 8-12 minutes from Isabel Católica Square (Columbus monument).
Attractions - The architecture of the Nasrid palaces
Hotels - Many hotels to suit all budget can be found nearby
Food & Restaurants - Many F&B outlet & restaurants can be found nearby
Shopping - Many shops selling souvenirs can be found nearby.

The fascinating Alhambra
Alhambra is the royal palace of the Granada kingdom established by the medieval Moors in Spain. Arabic means red fort. After the Moors were expelled from Spain, the building began to be abandoned. Later, with the support of Ferdinand VII, the architects Jose Contreras and other long-term repairs and reconstructions restored the original features. We booked tickets for the Nasri Palace at 2 pm (you must make an appointment, otherwise you will be queued at 6 o'clock in the morning, after all, there is a limit for the number of people in each time period). At 12 o'clock, you have already arrived at the scenic spot, thinking about it. Let's go to other free places to see. As a result, neither the Summer Palace nor the Fort Akasaba will be allowed. Only the Carlos V Palace can. So booked 2 tickets, all paid attractions must be 2 o'clock before entering. Although Nasirs Palace, Akasaba Fort and Summer Palace are separate attractions, as long as they meet the visit time, it is completely OK to go out from one toll attraction and then go to another toll attraction. Remember that each toll attraction cannot be used. Going in again, the staff at the door were very careful to check the ticket.
Introduce some personal favorite spots. The design of the palace must first mention: How did the glass not be used in ancient times? The Moors used a very laborious but extravagant way to cut out a honeycomb window! If a person quietly stays in a closed space for a whole day, watching the sun cast the shape of the light hole on a dim roof or wall, moving with the sun's trajectory, it is good to feel the passage of time. Experience. The
myrtle atrium is enclosed by marble columns, with a shallow, flat rectangular reflecting pool and a beautiful central fountain. Two rows of myrtle hedges lined up on the side of the pool, which is also the source of the name of the atrium. The
lion atrium is said to be the place where Alfonso XI and his lover have fun, and she is legendary the most beautiful woman in Spain. From the castle you can look out over the Sierra Nevada. The
Henry Lofer Garden consists of two groups of buildings connected by a canal atrium, all of which are fairly stable, simple and simple. This means that when the king retires, he longs for the garden to provide an intimate and tranquil atmosphere. There are only some decorative patterns of stucco, which are not too exaggerated, but still show exquisiteness and taste. The
summer garden is very beautiful and offers panoramic views of the palace. In addition, it is recommended to go to the Nicholas Lookout to enjoy the palace at sunset, beautiful!
sally.
The Alhambra Palace is located in Granada and is a must-see for travel in Spain. I won't say this before I go, but after I finish, I am sure to say: I won't regret it! ! !
After writing the travel notes, many friends have just commented on the "Reminiscences of the Alhambra". Although I have not seen this drama, I must strongly enrich the palace!
Before I went online, I checked the Alhambra. There were very few photos taken. I didn't expect much from this attraction, but it was the most amazing sight in Spain. Ticket prices are also very conscience compared to other palaces and famous attractions.
is also a medieval Islamic building, even for me who have been to India, it was amazing by this palace. Going to Spain strongly recommends that you must go to the sights, it is worth spending a day in it. It can be said that if you have been to the A Palace, then you will go to other palaces to be floating clouds...

The finest architecture in Spain
Visiting the Alhambra in Granada was amazing. From the moment I walked in, I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was—the buildings, the gardens, the views of the city. It really feels like stepping back in time, surrounded by history and art. The sunsets there are especially gorgeous.
A good tip: definitely book your tickets ahead of time. It gets super crowded, and you don’t want to miss out. Also, wear comfy shoes, because there’s a lot of walking, especially uphill, but it’s totally worth it.
I spent so much time in the Nasrid Palaces. The details on the walls and ceilings are unreal. The courtyards are peaceful, and you just want to keep exploring. There’s so much to take in at every turn.

Granada Cathedral.
Explore Granada Cathedral
On the crowded streets, it is not easy to see the full view of the magnificent cathedral of Granada, which is hidden in the surrounding buildings and can only be glimpsed through narrow and winding alleys. Like many churches in Spain, this church was also rebuilt on the site of a former mosque (it is worth mentioning that this conversion is not uncommon in history, and mosques are often built on the ruins of churches).
At first, the church had a Gothic appearance, but after nearly two centuries (1523–1704) of construction, its appearance changed dramatically. During this long period, architect Diego de Silo made drastic changes to the layout of the church, giving it a Renaissance flavor. Then, Alonso Cano added a magnificent Baroque facade to the church, a masterpiece of the 17th century. Cano also added two exquisite wooden busts of Adam and Eve to the altar of the main chapel.
Inside the church, 20 thick white columns stand majestically, like guardian gods, supporting a vast space between the black and white tiled floor and the ceiling. Looking up, the 30-meter-high dome is breathtaking, as if you are in a sacred and solemn world.

Alhambra Palace is so Charmingly peaceful😍❤️
#europetrip
Every day, I get to know the world-renowned building D56 on the mountaintop of the southern Spanish city of Gelaba, which is home to the magnificent Alhambra Palace. The palace was first built during the reign of King Ahmar and his successors in the 13th century, consisting of numerous courtyards. This is a treasure of Islamic art in Spain, known as the "City of Palaces" and the "Miracle of the World". The name Alhambra comes from the Arabic meaning of a red fortress, and from a distance we can see the red brick walls inside the palace and the stained red Saint Nicholas observation deck. We may wonder why it's not named in Spanish, but in Arabic. That's because this is the capital of Nepal, which was ruled by the Nasrid dynasty at the time. The first ruler of the dynasty, Mohammed I ibn Nasr, built the Alhambra Palace, and Muhammad was known as the "son of the Red". The reason why this palace is called the "Red Fortress" is that it was built by the Nasrid dynasty.
