Jeju Love Land Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
🇰🇷 Jeju Love Land Museum
Right next to Jeju Museum of Art is the Jeju Love Land Museum, another interesting museum for adults. They are also updating their exhibits and not open for public. But it was ok for me to enter and the staff said it was ok. This Jeju Love Museum has been around since 1970s n it was catered for education purposes due to the lack of education syllabus in schools. This museum is still in operation and the garden also got expanded and you can even rent the function hall for events too. The entire museum will need some time to complete the exploration so be prepared for at least 1 hour here.

Watch incredible women divers of Jeju island
The Haenyeo (women divers), some in their 80s, dive to collect seaweed, shellfish and other seafood in a unique way (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO).
Haenyeo (sea women) catch sea food for a living with only a knife while holding their breath. They are breath-hold diving, or free diving, down to about 10 meters / 30 feet, for minutes - depending on their experience. The first records of Haenyeo catching abalone (shellfish) are from 1629, can you imagine the diving equipment around 1629? (Zero-to-none)
As Jeju island is a volcanic island and seems always windy, the water temperatures and diving conditions are changing as well as the tides. These women were diving the whole day in cotton clothes (mulsojungi) without a proper cap until the 1970s when wetsuits appeared

Welcome to the biggest and most beautiful island in south korea, this self governing province.#nationalpark #nationalpark #skiresorts
Jeju Loveland (제주러브랜드) (also known as Love Land) is an outdoor sculpture park which opened in 2004 on Jeju Island in South Korea. The park is focused on a theme of sex, running sex education films, and featuring 140 sculptures representing humans in various sexual positions.
Moments at Jeju-do, South Korean
Jeju Island, also known as Jeju-do, is the only autonomous province of South Korea and the country’s largest island.
Although the retreat is not a famous destination for the western countries, the Asians are very familiar with its amazing geographic and cultural potential. Its popularity has grown in the past few years, especially among the young couples who seem to consider it a mystic place for romantic escapes.
Jeju Island was entirely created from volcanic eruptions. Its landscape is dominated by Halla Mountain, the famous 1,950 meter-high volcano and the highest mountain in South Korea.
Given the island’s isolation, the people of Jeju have developed a culture and language that are different from those of mainland Korea, with many local legends and mystic beliefs. They even named it the “Island of the Gods”, inspired by a legend that tells the story of demi-gods that once inhabited these lands. As you experience the island, keep an eye out for distinct cultural artifacts and stones with different shapes, considered to have a protecting power for the inhabitants.
