And of course such an amazing place has a beautiful legend in the best traditions of Shakespeare. There once lived two sisters: one with dark hair, the other one with fair hair. And they both fell in love with the same man. That situation resulted in a tragedy but it also laid a foundation of a beautiful but sad story. Zhinvali was one and a half hour from Tbilisi. It was on the way to Kazbegi and Gudauri. It was not a must-go attraction, but if you are going to Ananuri anyway stopping by would not take much time. It was pretty much a dam but the view was absolutely gorgeous. The big mountains and clear green water were two perfect combination. There are many photos spots, some you have to pay to take pictures. I recommend to go to the free ones since the views were pretty much the same. Entrance fee: free Parking: available
