Sightseeing in Fira on the island of Santorini. Oia was great for enjoying the scenery and staying at a hotel, but Fira was great for shopping. If you come to Fira, you should definitely go to the area around the Orthdox metropolitan cathedral. This area was very beautiful, with a view of the white streets of Santorini and the sea. The seafood in Santorini is very delicious, so be sure to order seafood dishes. I tried souvlaki, a skewered meat dish that is a typical Greek fast food, at a restaurant in Fira. On 10/28-30, I went to the romantic country "Santorini" in my mind. I arrived in Athens and transferred to a domestic flight. It took 50 minutes to fly. When I arrived at Santorini Airport, I took a bus to the city of Fira for only 2 euros and 10 Minutes away, I rented a motorcycle for 20 euros a day. Riding on the island is very comfortable, there are no red lights, and there is a gentle breeze in autumn. It takes 25 minutes to ride in Oia. Oia is the best place to watch the sunset in Santorini. , with a panoramic view of the scenery.

looking for a delicious gyros, this is the perfect place for a yummylicious meal in santorini. the restaurant was small with limited sitting, take away was another option however i managed to grab my seat on the counter table where i could see how mr cook prepared my meal. the chicken were freshly grilled with juicy flavored, fries were hot as good, fresh and crispy. the owner was very friendly, he was smiling, singing and even dancing. the place can be overwhelming with tourists so it’s good to be there when the shop opens at 10am to experience fresh grilled affordable souvlakis. #santorini #deliciousfood #gyros 📍Address: dekigala, thira 84700, greece

Santorini is a resort island that can be reached by plane from Athens, Greece, in about an hour. Santorini has two towns, Oia, which is good for honeymoons, and Fira, which is good for families. This time, we went for a walk around the town of Fira 🚶 Much of Santorini is made up of cliffs, and Fira is also a town at a considerable height. It is the departure and arrival point for cruise ships, and you can see large cruise ships below from the cliffs. The next day, we went to take a tour boat at Fira Port. To get to the port, we chose to take the Cable car. It took only a few minutes to get to the port. Then we walked to find a service company and ended up on a boat that took about 4 hours. The boat will take us to various tourist attractions such as: Volcanic Island of Nea Kameni, where we will have about 1-2 hours to walk around. The boat will stop here. Anyone who is interested can walk around. Anyone who wants to stay on the boat can do so. Then the boat will take us to the lava island Palea Kameni. At this point, we will have to swim to the Hot Spring point ourselves. The boat will wait for us for about 50-60 minutes. P.S. I saw some people bring mud to their faces. It's funny. Fira itself is also a popular place to have dinner and watch the sunset. It should be second to Oia, but overall, I was very impressed with the atmosphere. It was very chill. Plus, in the evening, when each house turned on the lights, it looked beautiful in a different way. 40 degrees high temperature, no obstruction to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Santorini It is about 10 minutes away from the center of Fira, but it is open-air all the way. Try to avoid going there before 6:00pm in the summer.

#familytrips2024 Enjoying local Greek food is a must when traveling overseas to Greece. There are numerous street food and desserts choices available in the village of Fira in Santorini, including Gyros, Souvlaki, Falafel, Spanakopita, Koulouris, Baklava and more. I got the Chicken Gyros and Mini Pistachio & Chocolate Baklava for dinner and after dinner sweets. Gyros is a type of flat bread wrapped with meat, tomato, onion, tzatziki and fries. Baklava is a popular Greek sweet dessert made with phyllo pastry, honey and various toppings/fillings. Overall, I enjoyed the Greek meal.
