Daytrip to Dalí Museum 👨🏻🎨 in Figueres
A mere two hours drive from Barcelona, the town of Figueres is the birthplace of genius artist Salvador Dalí, the godfather of surrealism.
In Figueres you can visit the Museum-Theatre Salvador Dalí. The space was conceived by the artist himself to become a playful exhibition of his artworks and inspiration; and it definitely delivers its promise.
Through its rooms and corridors there are many of the artworks that the Spanish genius created during his life, from pairing to sculpture and even jewels.
Big format paintings preside the main halls, while small and delicate jewelry pieces catch the attention easily.
📍Plaça Gala i Salvador Dalí, 5, 17600 Figueres, Girona

The Dali Museum in Spain
I personally like the artist Salvador Dali, so I visited the ‘Dali Museum’ located in Figueres, Spain!
The exterior was really unique, but the interior was even more unique and full of things to see!
You can buy a ticket at the ticket booth and go in.
Actually, there’s not much to see in Figueres other than the Dali Museum, so I recommend visiting Girona, which is nearby :)
It was one of the places that I really remember, so even if you don’t know about Salvador Dali, why not take this opportunity to learn about him? 😋

Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum, Figueres

The Dalí Theatre-Museum is a surreal experience unlike any other. Dedicated to the life and work of Salvador Dalí, this museum is as eccentric as the artist himself. From the giant egg sculptures to bizarre installations, every corner is filled with surprises. The town of Figueres itself is charming and makes for a great day trip from Barcelona. A must-see for art and surrealism enthusiasts!
Dali Theatre, Figueres, Spain🇪🇸, the eccentric artist Dali
Salvador Dali, an eccentric artist but a definite genius!
In Figueres, there is a theater designed by Salvador Dali and his works are displayed! The exterior of the theater is really impressive, and there are eggs on top and breads on the walls🥚🥐
Figueres is a city about an hour away from Barcelona by train. At the time, I couldn't make a reservation on the Renfe website, so I bought a train ticket through the Omio app and went!
Dali is an artist who can do everything: painting, sculpture, jewelry design, modern art, etc. :) He is an eccentric, so there are many works, but there are many things that I don't understand, but I could definitely tell that he was a genius..! The most memorable thing for me was the jewelry that Dali designed and made. I was amazed to see his paintings being reproduced exactly👏🏻👏🏻
There are also many paintings of Gala, his wife and eternal muse, who Dali loved so much..! It's a romance for them, but in fact, Gal was already married and had a child😂😂 A typical hypocrite🤣 But it's clear that he had a huge influence on Dali's art!
The only real thing to see in Figueres is the Dali Theater, so if you're curious about Dali's Theater, I recommend going!
There are many souvenir shops with Dali's works around here, so it's fun to look around, so go check them out before or after going to the Dali Theater :)

Summer at costa Brava
The Costa Brava, located in the northeastern part of Spain along the Mediterranean coast, is a stunning stretch of coastline known for its rugged beauty, charming seaside towns, and crystal-clear waters. This region, which stretches from Blanes to the French border, offers a blend of natural splendor, rich history, and vibrant culture that attracts visitors from around the world.
One of the highlights of the Costa Brava is its diverse landscapes. Dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sandy beaches provide a picturesque backdrop for both relaxation and adventure. The beaches, particularly in towns like Tossa de Mar, Begur, and Calella de Palafrugell, are pristine and offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing.
In addition to its natural beauty, the Costa Brava is home to historic towns and cultural treasures. Girona, with its medieval architecture and Romanesque churches, and Figueres, the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, offer cultural experiences that go beyond the typical beach holiday. The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres is a must-visit for art lovers.
The Costa Brava also boasts a vibrant culinary scene, with fresh seafood and traditional Catalan dishes like *pa amb tomàquet* (bread with tomato) and *fideuà* (a noodle-based paella) taking center stage. Pairing these meals with local wines from the nearby Empordà region enhances the experience.
In summary, the Costa Brava offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and excellent cuisine. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural enrichment, this region of Catalonia provides something for every traveler. Salvador Dali, Between Genius and Psycho
Salvador Dali, like Van Gogh, Picasso in Ma Baddi......
I went to the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres while humming Vinzino's song~!
Salvador Dali designed this museum himself while he was still alive, and the audience can appreciate the paintings as he intended.
I've been a fan of Dali since I saw him in my art textbook when I was in elementary school, but when I saw him in person, he really was.... more of a psychopath than a genius! I recommend you go see him in person.
Figueres, the hometown of Salvador Dali
A commercial city and a crossroads of communications, this capital of the Alto Empurdan has developed an important tourist activity thanks to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, one of the most visited museums in Spain. In addition to this must-see, the Castell de San Ferran fortress and the many museums in the city are also worth a visit. Its centre is located around the rambla, a pretty promenade shaded by plane trees, which provides just the right amount of terraces for a stopover between visits.
