What makes this spot extra special is its tranquil vibe—no crowds, just the sound of gentle waves. Best of all, no entrance fee! It’s the perfect place to relax on the pebbly shore or swim in the crystal-clear water. After enjoying the beach, I took a short walk up to the Assos Castle ruins 🏰—the views from up there are incredible! If you’re hungry, there are a few lovely tavernas nearby where you can enjoy fresh seafood with a stunning view of the bay. It’s also a short drive from Myrtos Beach, another must-visit on the island. During my holiday to Kefalonia, we visited Assos on the north west of the island. It is something that i would definitely recommend doing if you have the chance because it’s such a beautiful place. We enjoyed lunch next to the beach and then had a quick dip in the water. The turquoise waters and the pastel-colored houses of Assos below create a picturesque setting. 🌊🏞️ Wandering through the well-preserved walls and remnants of Venetian architecture, it felt like stepping into a medieval tale. The informative plaques helped piece together the castle's rich history and strategic significance. 🗺️🏹 The panoramic views from the top, including the charming Assos village and lush landscapes, were absolutely mesmerizing.
