Located at the southeastern tip of Hokkaido, Cape Erimo is a stately place whose name means "big cape" in Ainu. The terrain where the Hidaka Mountains sink directly into the Pacific Ocean and the rugged coastline embody the majesty and harshness of nature .

Known as the "polar wind region" where wind speeds exceed 10m/s for more than 260 days a year, and sometimes exceed 30m/s .

The cliffs with the lighthouse and the horseback-shaped ridge continue, and the spectacular scenery that stretches to the horizon is overwhelming.
• Lighthouse, reefs, and spotted seals
With a chalk-white lighthouse (one of Japan's 50 best lighthouses) that was lit in 1899 in the background, a group of seals can be seen relaxing on the reefs 2km offshore .
• Designated as a quasi-national park and scenic spot
The natural beauty of the Hidaka Mountains Erimo Tokachi National Park (formerly a quasi-national park) and the scenic spot "Pirika No Ka" are condensed here .

🏛 Greedy experience spot
• Wind House
A facility where you can experience a maximum wind speed of 25m/s. From the observation room, you can observe seals and enjoy the fog and waves of Cape Erimo, and there is also a craft experience .
• Song monument and observation promenade
Enjoy the pleasant sea breeze and scenery at the monument to Mori Shinichi's famous song "Cape Erimo" and the promenade leading to the tip of the cape .
• Seal observation and learning
You can see spotted seals spending their time on the reefs, and in the spring you can see mother and baby seals giving birth and starting to swim.
