The most famous Mudéjar-Gothic building in Andalucia
Andalusia Tour ~ Seville (Region)
One of the most interesting religious buildings in Écija, the cathedral underwent major renovations during the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods. The tower, chapel, choir, oratory, sacristy and monastery courtyard all date from a later period. Built in 1766, the tower is decorated with tiles, showing local influences. The interior is in Mudejar style.
It has a unique altarpiece where paintings and sculptures form a harmonious artistic composition.
