Volcano and waterfall in one frame, I went to Indonesia for this photo
Sewu Waterfall in East Java, Indonesia, is indeed one of the most stunning waterfalls. 'Sewu' in Javanese means thousand-layer waterfall. These waterfalls thunderously plunge into a horseshoe-shaped jungle canyon, looking as if they fell into Jurassic Park!
-
🚩Best experience:
▪️Sewu Waterfall Viewing Platform
There are two levels, the second level offers a better angle to overlook the waterfall.
▪️Hike into the canyon to reach the bottom of the waterfall. The path down is right next to the viewing platform. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk into the canyon, and then another 5 minutes to walk through the canyon to reach the waterfall. The path down is rough and quite dangerous, not highly recommended.
-
📷Photography tips:
▪️Using a drone can capture the scene of Mount Semeru, the highest active volcano in Java, and Sewu Waterfall in one frame. Due to the dense surrounding jungle, be sure to pay attention to the safety of drone takeoff and landing.
▪️Aerial shots with a drone at noon can even capture the magical sight of the waterfall flow and double rainbows in one frame under the refraction of sunlight.
-
🚗How to get there:
▪️It is recommended to stay in a hotel in Malang city and drive about 2 hours to Sewu Waterfall.
▪️Due to a sudden heavy rain in mid-July 2023 causing a mudslide, the essential bridge from Malang to Sewu Waterfall was destroyed and has not yet been repaired. The road is impassable, so you need to take a local motorcycle to cross the broken bridge to reach the Sewu Waterfall viewing platform.
▪️Take a local motorcycle from the motorcycle point for about 20 minutes to the entrance of the scenic area, then walk for 10 minutes to reach the Sewu Waterfall viewing platform.
-
🎫Viewing platform ticket: 20k IDR (approximately 10 RMB)
🎫Waterfall bottom ticket: 10k IDR (approximately 5 RMB)
⏰Opening hours: 7:00-17:00
📣Recommended visit duration: Viewing platform 0.5-1h, hiking to the bottom of the waterfall 2-3h
Once upon a time in Java ❤️

This 2022 I've been working so hard on a cruiseship as HK attendant. After a 9months contract without an wholeday off, this is my Chance to enjoy my Long waited off.
I'd travelled on Not so famous destination in INDONESIA that was called BROMO AND MALANG. This is WORTH IT! specially if you go on the top(crater) of an active volcano using a horse and you need to trek on a long stairs going at the crater.. You will enjoy as well the 4x4 ride on a whispering sand on the foot of volcano..
We stayed in SHANAYA hobbit rooms. Everything was superb 👌👌 the service and the cleanliness 💯❤️❤️ INDONESIAN FOOD, I loved it 🍲💯👍
Hopefully I'm the lucky winner so I can travel once again to My dream destination JAPAN, BTW I'm almost getting married that was our plan Honeymoon destination. 🇯🇵👰😍😍#mountainview#bucketlistreboot#celebratewith Trip #awesomepic
Kawah Ijen (Ijen Crater)
The Ijen volcano complex is a group of composite volcanoes located on the border between Banyuwangi Regency and Bondowoso Regency of East Java, Indonesia.
West of Gunung Merapi is the Ijen volcano, which has a one-kilometre-wide (0.62 mi) turquoise-coloured acidic crater lake. The lake is the site of a labour-intensive sulfur mining operation, in which sulfur-laden baskets are carried by hand from the crater floor.
Since National Geographic mentioned the electric-blue flame of Ijen, tourist numbers have increased. The phenomenon has occurred for a long time, but beforehand there was no midnight hiking. A two-hour hike is required to reach the rim of the crater, followed by a 45-minute hike down to the bank of the crater. The blue fire is ignited sulfuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 °C (1,112 °F).
To chase the blue fire of Ijen Crater, many tourists climb the mountain at night. Because indeed the best time to watch the blue fire attraction at the top of Mount Ijen is in the early morning before dawn, which is between 02.00 WIB - 03.00 WIB.

The road leading to the beautiful beach makes the heart beat fast. Sharp turns, up and down with a fairly stressful height, and rocks that are still scattered are conditions along the way. However, the coolness of the virgin nature along the way makes the trip feel comfortable and can treat tension with joy. The specialty of Klatak Beach is the number of rocks neatly arranged on the shoreline. Clean little stones, and they are not rocks but rocks that are common in rivers. If hit by the waves, the stones will produce a clatak sound repeatedly. It is said that the locals said, from the sound that the name Klatak Beach was taken. Large rocks such as high cliff carvings also add to the beautiful view of the beach. The beach is always synonymous with waves. There is no beach without waves. Klatak Beach has calm waves so that it can make the soul there calm too. Clean sand with a brown color adds to the sweet atmosphere on the beach. The mountains that are far from the coast make the air on the beach cooler.

NIYAMA RIVER : TULUNGAGUNG
This one tour is so beautiful to visit, especially with your relatives or relatives. One of the attractions that attract local and foreign tourists in Tulungagung Regency is the Niyama River. The Niyama River tourist attraction turns out to have a very cool view, friend. Intrigued by this tourist attraction, let's look at the following information description. Niyama River tourist attraction is not a tourist spot, but many visitors try to visit the location. Because the location has a very beautiful panorama that attracts many tourists who want to take pictures or take pictures at the location of the Niyama River. The Niyama River is located in Sidem Hamlet, Besole Village, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency, of course it is still in the East Java Province Region. The name Niyama comes from the Japanese language, Ni means two, while Yama means mountain. At this tourist location there is a tunnel that has been legendary since the previous Japanese colonial era. During the occupation of the Japanese army around 1942-1945, forced labor (Romusha) was carried out in the area for the construction of the Niyama water channel and tunnel to drain excess flow from the Brantas River in the Tulungagung City area to the Indian Ocean. The route to get to this Niyama River tourist location from Tulungagung City is to follow the directions to Popoh Beach, after entering the Popoh Beach area, the journey continues to Sidem Beach. After passing the entrance to Sidem Beach, there is a second downward path, turn right, go straight until you find a house with a hut as a parking lot. Arriving at the parking location you have to continue on foot until you find the location of the Niyama River. If you are still confused, I suggest that you ask the locals. It should be noted that when the rainy season arrives, the volume of water in the river will be very large so it is very dangerous to visit. You have to be careful if you want to take pictures around the Niyama river. Thus the description of information about the very beautiful Niyama River tour. If you visit Tulungagung City, take the time to stop at that location. Happy holidays and travels.

PANGASAN BEACH - PACITAN
The beauty of Pangasan Beach, which is located in Batulapak Hamlet, Kalipelus Village, Kebonagung District, is quite famous. Its exact location at the southwest tip of East Java and directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean in the south makes its charm radiate. Not only is the stretch of sand and sea beautiful, but there are also cliffs. The local people call it Mount Lanang or Bukit Lanang. Actually, Mount Lanang is not a mountain in the truest sense. This place is like a small promontory separated from the mainland. On the beach there are also rice fields, and large rocks make the scenery even more epic. The spot is the hallmark of Pangasan Beach. On the east side of Pangasan Beach, there is a river that borders with other areas, namely Sangklehan Beach, which is administratively included in the Katipugal Village area. Interestingly, this beach has black sand with rocks. The water is very clear. From this beach, the view of Mount Lanang is still clearly visible. Visitors can also see Mount Ganjuran from the east side of Sangklehan Beach. For those who are interested in coming to this beach, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to reach Kalipelus Village via the Southern Cross from the center of Pacitan city. After passing the Gayam Fly Over, proceed to Gayam Market. After entering the gate of Klesem Village, just follow the directions to Pangasan Beach.

IJEN CRATER
The Ijen Crater Tourism Area is included in the Ijen Tourism Park Nature Reserve with an area of 2,560 hectares, including a tourism forest of 92 hectares. Ijen Crater is located at the top of Mount Ijen in the Licin District, Banyuwangi Regency and Klobang District, Bondowoso Regency. Mount Ijen is an active volcano which has an altitude of 2,443 masl above sea level which is located side by side with Mount Raung and Mount Merapi. Ijen Crater is a lake above Mount Ijen which was formed as a result of the eruption of Mount Ijen, making the crater filled with water to form a very amazing crater lake. What is interesting is that this crater is in the middle of the widest caldera on the island of Java with a diameter of 6 km. . The size of the crater itself is about 960 meters x 600 meters with a depth of 200 meters. The crater is located at a depth of more than 300 meters below the caldera wall. In addition, another natural phenomenon found in the Ijen crater that should not be missed is the Blue Fire, which appears in the midst of sulfur mining, and can only be seen in the early morning until early in the morning around 05.00 WIB. There are only two blue fire phenomena in the world, apart from Ijen, only in Iceland. So it's no wonder the existence of the blue fire is so highly sought after by tourists, especially foreign tourists. The Blue Fire phenomenon is what raised the name of Ijen Crater to be so famous, even abroad. Blue Fire or this blue fire appears from the sulfur when it is dark. You can't see this Blue Fire phenomenon other than in Ijen Crater and in Iceland.

So it's no wonder the existence of the blue fire is so highly sought after by tourists, especially foreign tourists. It has a large area and is equipped with adequate facilities. There is a parking lot for visitors who bring vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled. Public facilities such as bathrooms, toilets and prayer rooms are available. There are also many food stalls in Paltuding. You can also buy some necessary supplies for your climbing ammunition. visitors who arrive early and will climb in the early hours can rent homestays at affordable prices. In addition, there is a large camping ground for nature lovers who want to set up a tent or hammock. Paltuding to Ijen Crater is 3 KM away, which can only be reached on foot. Although the distance is not too far, considering the different terrain conditions and abilities of each person, it generally takes between 2 to 3 hours to reach it. The trekking route to Ijen Crater consists of sandy soil and fine stones with a slope angle varying from 10 to 35 degrees, taken at midnight in a tired physical condition plus a relatively dark situation because it only relies on flashlight lighting, making the journey to Ijen Crater impossible. done quickly. Therefore, for visitors in groups, bringing many women, it is better to take advantage of the services of a local guide, who in fact are sulfur miners who are very familiar with the terrain. If you want to see the blue fire, climbing should be done at 01.00-02.00 in the morning, because the blue fire is clearly visible until 05.00 in the morning or before the sun appears. For safety reasons, climbing to Ijen crater from Paltuding is closed after 14:00, due to the thick smoke and possible wind direction that leads to the hiking trail.

Amazing Tour In East Java
This was perfect! I was picked up promptly at 8:00 and the van was really comfortable. Our guide Tuan was excellent - well informed, perfect English, delightful personality. The sites were so amazing; so much beauty, history, and tragedy all rolled into one. The boat ride on the Perfume River was fun and relaxing. Lunch was excellent and accommodated several of us who were vegetarians. The visit to the market was fun and informative. Making and watching incense being made was really interesting. Highly recommend this tour if your time in Hue is short and you want to see as much as possible in a short time.

Unlike other beaches facing the Indian Ocean, tourists are allowed to bathe and swim at this beach, especially in the afternoon when the sea water begins to recede. In addition to the fishing village, on the edge of Tambakrejo Beach there is a fish auction place so that tourists can buy fresh fish caught by fishermen. MOUNT RAUNG
Mount Raung is a large and unique mountain, which is different from the characteristics of the mountain in general on the island of Java. The uniqueness of Mount Raung Peak is its elliptical caldera with a depth of about 500 meters deep, which is always smoky and often spouts fire and there is a cone about 100m high. Gn.Raung includes an old mountain with a caldera at its peak and is shaded by many small peaks, making the scenery truly stunning.
To climb G. Raung, the easiest is from the direction of Bondowoso. From Bondowoso continue to the village of Sumber Wringin by using Colt through Sukosani. The journey starts from the village of Sumber Wringin through pine groves and coffee plantations to Pondok Motor. At Pondok Motor we can stay and rest, then we can continue the journey to the top which takes about 9 hours.
From Pondok Motor to G. Raung, starting with through the garden for 1 hour then climbing into the forest with a climbing angle that is not too big which is about 20 degrees. This mountain forest consists of glentongan trees, arcisak, takir and others.

Icy blue fire and sulfur deposits
On the Indonesian island of Java, the Kawah Ijen Volcano boasts two of the world's most extraordinary occurrences. The first is a live solfatara, which produces hot, combustible sulfur fumes. These burn with an electric blue flame as they enter Earth's oxygen-rich atmosphere. Some of the gas condenses in the atmosphere, resulting in molten sulfur flows that burn with an electric blue flame as well. During the day, the flames are difficult to notice, but at night, they brighten the landscape.
A one-kilometer-wide crater lake filled with turquoise-blue water is the second occurrence. The water's color is caused by its high concentration of dissolved metals and excessive acidity. With a pH as low as 0.5, it is the world's largest severely acidic lake. An inflow of hydrothermal waters charged with gases from a heated magma chamber below is the source of its acidity. So don’t fall yourself in the lake. Just enjoy the scenery it’s majestic!

Ijen Crater
The hike down and up the crater will take somewhere around 45-60 minutes but that will also depend on how crowded the path is. Since it will be in the dark and the path is rocky/uneven, you will also want to take it slower than usual.
As you are making your way down to the bottom you may pass by some sulfur miners until you reach a viewpoint where you can better see the blue flames. Unfortunately, the blue flames will not always be nice and bright to see (and sometimes you won’t be able to see them at all).
When I visited, they were not strong at all and I couldn’t even get a picture in the dark.
After enjoying sunrise for a bit, feel free to walk a bit more around the crater rim of Ijen. You can continue counter clockwise as you take in additional views of the lake and crater rim.
#nationalpark#urbanexplorer
Mount Ijen
Kawah Ijen also known as the Ijen Volcano or Gunung Ijen, is a dormant volcano at the very end of the island of Java in Indonesia.
What makes it super unique though is that it houses the largest crater acidic lake in the world! Seeing this turquoise colored crater lake at sunrise will be one beautiful site to take in.
It also is known for its vast amount of sulphur that gets mined every day. As you make your way closer to the crater, you will begin to see the extremely hard working miners that dig up the sulphur and bring it up from the bottom of the crater and then all the way up to the rim and back down to the starting point.
Not only is it extremely dangerous for these miners to be working in hazardous conditions, but they also make a very minimal wage – around $10 per day.
There are three main ways to go about getting to Ijen – private driver, on your own, or by tour.
#nationalpark#urbanexplorer
Bromo Crater
Once across the Sea of Sand, you will be welcomed to a nice incline and 250 or so steps up the side of Bromo and towards the crater rim.
As you make your way up, you will be welcomed to some incredible mountain landscapes surrounding you.
Soon enough you will reach the top of Mount Bromo and its perpetual plume of smoke coming from its crater. What is really unique about Bromo, is that you can actually walk around a good portion of the crater rim.
Definitely be careful though as it can get a bit tricky at times. If you do want to walk some of the rim, I would recommend heading up to your left and walking for 10-15 minutes before turning back around.
#nationalpark#urbanexplorer
Sea of Sand Bromo
Next up on the Bromo itinerary is the Sea of Sand. I decided to take the hike down into the crater and across the Sea of Sand. Others choose to hop in a jeep or take a motorbike across. From Cemoro Lawang, the journey down and across on foot should take about 45 minutes to the base of Mount Bromo.
Note that once you begin to head down into the Sea of Sand you will be entering the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, which is subject to an entrance fee (217,500 IDR / $15 USD weekdays and 317,500 IDR / $23 USD weekends).
The Sea of Sand though is exactly what you would expect. It is just a massive sanded area between Cemoro Lawang and the volcanoes out in the distance. You will see plenty of motorbikes and jeeps heading through dusting up the sand in every which direction. I really enjoyed the walk through though and would definitely recommend if you have it in you.
#nationalpark#urbanexplorer
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park
A day visiting the Mount Bromo area is not just a hike up Bromo itself. There is much more to a day than just the crater. You have the chance to hike up to some sunrise viewpoints overlooking the National Park, walk through (or bike/jeep through) the Sea of Sand, and climb to the edge of the Mount Bromo crater.
There are two main places you can choose to stay in if visiting Mount Bromo – Cemoro Lawang and Probolinggo.
Cemoro Lawang is located just at the edge of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. From the town you are able to visit everything in the area on your own without the need for additional transport.
My recommendation would be to stay within Cemoro Lawang itself due to the convenience factor and proximity to all the Bromo activities. What makes a Bromo experience so special is the ability to see that vast Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park landscape for sunrise and then truly be able to experience the crater itself. If the clouds are in the area, all those views will be blocked and you won’t enjoy what you came out to see.

Blue Fire at Kawah Ijen
Such a magnificent view of beautiful Kawah Ijen Crater! You can enjoy the magnificent blue fire with cheap price if you join one of the local tour. Always prepare with mask and your googles to prevent any sand, and sulphate harming your eyes and respiration, or you can also opt for renting it when you reach the top! You can come in the night and take a rest or enjoying the culinary nearby. It's better to start hiking around 1 AM because it will take around 2,5 hours to hike. You have to arrive at the crater around 4 AM if you don't want to miss the blue fire. Once you are on top, you can choose to go down more to get closer to the crater, thus the blue fire, or you can just stay at the top 🌿☀️🌳💙🔥 #nationalpark #urbanexplorer #volcano
Rockies Beach Klayar
Klayar Beach is resides in Donorojo district, Pacitan Regency. It is about 35 km towards west Pacitan city. It can reach about 60 minutes from the city. Many rockies like spink in Mesir are settled in this beach. Klayar with its dune has a distinctive feature from another. Its waves dashed against the rock spourting from the hole make sound like a bamboo flute. The springkling of waves rush to the beach and out through the hole spurting about 7 meters high and has a sound like blowing bamboo flute.
Klayar Beach has charming beauty. This beach is really natural for not many people that coming to this beach. Klayar beach is very silent; you can even hear the wind that blows and enjoying the nuance around the beach.

Besides the big waves and soft white sand that is so tempting, the other attraction of Srau Beach worth to explore. The coral hills that embellish the views of the beach. If the water is receding, we can also walk to the rocks to find the best photo spot.

Pathok Gebang Beach is located in Jengglungharjo village, Tulungagung, East Java. Pathok Gebang is one of genuin beach, for it becomes one of most hidden coastal in Tulungagung. Not only because of the road access that is still inadequate, but also the location is quite remote from residential areas. To get to the site is not easy and challenging.
The interesting thing about this beach is when the tide is high, where we can see the waves that hit a reef up to 15-20 meters. All the struggle will be paid upon arrival at the site and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding.

Tambakrejo Beach
It is true Tambakrejo Beach is included in the formation of Blitar’s southern beaches. Unlike others, though, this one doesn’t have strong waves. The small and moderate waves make it possible for swimming or playing water, therefore. As for the shoreline, it comes with a soft-textured sandy landscape. The color is white and the texture is comfortable. No wonder, beach walking is quite popular! Another noticeable feature is the presence of a big coral hill in on side of the shoreline. People can use it as the background for their photos, for sure.
For the information, 3 main areas exist for everyone to explore there. First, it is located in the easternmost of the shoreline that features a sandy area. This one is suitable for beach walking. Next, it is the middle part of the shoreline, where the wave breakers reside. Another interesting area is located in the western most of the shoreline where you can find a local pier. This one is suitable for sightseeing and photography, actually.
