Just walk there and take photos. Every place is very photogenic. It’s best to bring your drone when taking pictures of Fishbone Sandbank, otherwise you won’t know what you are taking. The homestay we stayed at was very cozy and reasonably priced. After leaving, a short walk or bike ride will take you there. 🏖️Shuangmianhai Lighthouse: The beach here forms a path to the small island when the tide is out, not only a filming location for the movie 'The Left Ear' but also a place where tourists leave beautiful memories. 🌄Nanwangtiantai and Chenghuang Temple: These two spots are adjacent to each other. Standing on the Tiantai, you can drink a cool beverage and enjoy the panoramic beauty of Dongshan Island. Descending to the Chenghuang Temple, you can experience more local color. 🌅Sunset at Xiakeng Seafood Pier: Recommended by the local tavern owner, the sunset view here is stunningly beautiful and complements the seafood. Transportation suggestion: After arriving at Yunxiao Station by high-speed rail, you can take a bus directly to Dongshan Island. The fare is 10 yuan/person. If there are many people, you can choose to share a ride, the cost is 25 yuan/person. On Dongshan Island, it is recommended to rent a small electric donkey for travel, the rent is 60-80 yuan, and the off-season is 40 yuan. Be sure to ask about the battery life and return time when renting a car. Accommodation recommendation: Tongling Town is close to Nanmen Bay, there are many things to eat, and takeaway is also convenient. But it's noisy, especially by the sea. The price of sea view rooms is more expensive. Jinluan Bay can get up early to watch the sunrise, but the delivery of takeaways is more expensive and takes a long time. There are fewer things to eat nearby. If there are many people, it is recommended to share the room fee together and choose a single-family villa for living, where you can barbecue and cook. 1. Take bus route 15 on the right side of the exit of Gaotie Yunxiao Station to Tongling Town, with a ticket price of 10 yuan and a travel time of about 45 minutes. 2. Aojiao Village is worth visiting, but the journey is about 28 kilometers and the condition of the national road is complicated, so cycling is not recommended. It is suggested to drive or take a taxi. Go further and climb up the mountain. 3. Su Fengshan's cycling is very beautiful.

Getting There - Dongshan Island is a natural wonderland located in the Sortheast of Fujian Province. Hop on a train going to Yunxiao train station and from there there are buses running frequently taking you to the island (around 30 mins’ ride). Highlight - The island isn’t very big but it takes a bit time to see everything. During the stay we rented motorbikes from the side of street (very easy and convenient) at a very reasonable price. With a motorbike it’s so easy to get around and explore the island wherever you like. I particularly enjoyed visiting Sufeng Mountain and having a swim at Maluan Bay and Jiluan Bay. Locals all go to those beach to relax and enjoy the water and abundant sunshine. This island is charming in ways that I can’t put into words. The Maluan Bay scenic spot is one of the earliest scenic spots in Dongshan. The Bay is crescent-shaped, with a wide view and a uniform sea and sky. You can see some people doing wind surfing, taking pictures and others sitting on the sand while waiting for the sunset. There are few shops too where you can eat and have some drinks. We got there by car it took us more than 2 hours drive from Xiancheng District, Zhangzhou. As soon as we arrived. The view of the sea and the sound of the waves made us relaxed. Along the seawall, you can reach the beach, your feet are on the sand, bathe in the sun, and the sea breeze smells the salty taste of the sea. Dongshan Battle Martyrs Cemetery is located in Shitanpu, behind Shitan Village, in the middle of Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is a patriotic education base announced by the Fujian Provincial Government and the fifth batch of "National Key Martyrs Memorial Building Protection Units" announced by the State Council. On September 7, 2018, it was included in the ninth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units by the Fujian Provincial People's Government. The cemetery was built in 1953. On July 16 of that year, the Kuomintang authorities in Taiwan, in order to cooperate with the US invasion of Korea and destroy the construction of the motherland, sent more than 13,000 naval, land, and air forces to invade Dongshan Island under the cover of aircraft, ships, and tanks. Our army and people fought bravely, defeated the invading Kuomintang army, annihilated more than 3,000 Kuomintang troops, and won a brilliant victory in the defense of Dongshan. After the battle, in order to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to defend the security of the motherland, the "Dongshan Battle Martyrs Cemetery" was built in Shitanpu, where our army and people once fought bloody battles with the Kuomintang army, for future generations to admire.
