The gorge spans approximately 15 kilometers in length, with a width ranging from 100 to 200 meters, and a depth reaching 200 meters. Dense earth forests are distributed along both sides of the gorge, while a clear stream flows at the bottom. As the name suggests, the most spectacular sight in Qilin Gorge is the densely packed, peculiar earth forests on both sides of the gorge. They come in various shapes, rising from the ground like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, standing thousands of feet tall, resembling an enlarged version of the 'Terracotta Army'.
