Recommend walking shoes as it’s so beautiful that you need to explore on foot. Rich in history. Would recommend staying in Cornwall also. On the coastline of North Devon, England, there is a beautiful ancient fishing village called Clovelly, which is over 800 years old. It is recognized as one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Devon. The village has a steep cobbled path that extends all the way to the tranquil harbor, with white slate-roofed fishermen's cottages on either side. There are no motor vehicles in the small fishing village; donkeys are the mode of transport. Being in this secluded village is like time has stood still for hundreds of years. Since the 13th century, Clovelly has been privately owned. The Hamlyn family has owned all the houses, the harbor, and much of the surrounding land since 1738. The current owner of the village is a descendant of the Hamlyn family. The village of Clovelly is built along the coastal terrain, making it quite steep. To enter the village, one must walk down a long slope, and from the village center to the harbor is a steep descent. However, the further down you go, the closer you get to the azure sea. Despite the constant flow of tourists every day, fishing remains an important part of life for the residents of Clovelly. There is an admission fee to visit the village, with the adult price being £8.75.
